Perfomer.. Karunya is good but I dont think he is the best.. We really havent seen complete performance skills of SRGMP contestants because it wasnt necessary too.. Keeping that in mind and all thsoe qualities you mentioned, Hemu is equally good if not better.

Karunya has 2 great strenghts, one being his diction and two being the clarity in his voice. His voice has completely maturation and it sounds good as compared to hemu who has a naturally manly and a beautiful voice,but is still in the cracking stage which you can make out in some performances (Saathiya, Yeh Kya Hua, Ishq Vishq).

Karunya's performing abilities had to be shown because it was required for the show but he wasn't hte best of the performers on II.. Panna and Amey steal the cake there.. Panna was just 😳 HOTTT..his Jhalak Dhiklaja.. HOLYYY.. and Amey's holi song was very good..the way he danced for it..

Varsha ji, I agree with you, they are THE best cousins EVER 😆

Couple of Karunya's performances that I think make him stand above the rest:
1. Tumse meri Lagan lagi
2. Navrang song
3. Shankar Mahadevan song from Mission Kashmir (Finale)
4. Piya Re
5. Ek Suraj Nikla tha (Dil Se)
6. Kishore Kumar song (from the KK round)

He handles octave/pitch changes so well, and breath control is spectacular!!

well everyone has there own tastes and opinions...
I have always said this it is not necessary to demean others fav. just so you can proove ur fav. contestent is better... instead u need to tell and explain why u like ur contestent.....

Here are the qualities that make NCK the winner in the history of all such shows:

1) Total command of words and intonations.
2) Incredible memory for lyrics.
3) Total comfort with fast changing scales and lyrics.
4) Great breath control, even after dancing and jumping during the song.
5) Ability to emote and act during the song without compromising singing.
6) Ability to maintain sur througout the song (probably the most important).
7) Great imagination to add individual touches to songs; so as to not imitate the original version. (Hema is even better at this)
7) Knowledge of the fundamentals of music, sur, taal etc.
8) Voice quality. Incredibly smooth, without jitter. A little high pitched for my taste. But, can change voice to suit song (eg. yamma, yamma song).

All of this at the young age of 19, with experience to gain, is just an awe-insipiring combination. Good luck NCK!
