Karunya is a GREAT singer.. but sadly fell victim to what a lot of good singers have in the recent past..

Aruna ji, I agree with you about Karu doing good on high notes and octaves..very true.. He sings high pitch songs with utmost ease..

His Ramta Jogi was good.. but Hemu's was still ringing in my ears !

So you do get SONY in Canada. Maybe u can PM Adi which cable/satelite provider to use there. Karu is a superb singer. Hema is still my personal favorite though.

1) Total command of words and intonations.
2) Incredible memory for lyrics.

I have not followed Karunya on all the episodes, so can't really comment much on him.. But whatever I have heard of him, He is great 👏

To me, the best performance to date on a reality show (and I will not include the older SaReGaMa here) would be 'haan maine bhi chhukar dekha hai' from Black by Ujjaini... She was truely amazing 👏 👏 👏

But I will not call her the best performer as she is too inconsistent and could not really match up to that performance ever after...

So, if I had to pick up one as the best performer, I will go for Hemu - other than the diction part of it, I think he was too good 👍🏼

I absolutely agree. Karunya is one of the all time best singers. If he is the best singer, that is probably undermining other talents, but definitely he was the best singer in Indian Idol II.

Members are requested to please keep in mind the state of the forum while posting. Before posting just think once if the same was said by any other member about your Favourite singer how would you feel. Then post the comments.

Now some members said why is Karunya being discussed here. Let me tell you the title of the topic is not Karunya but discussion about the best reality show singer. That can always be discussed and in such a post why just Karunya even Abhijit Sawants name can be taken. This is a generalised post about all real time singers and any such singers can be discussed.

But again......... see that you don't post something that hurts others. Maybe it is well in the limits of the forum rules but do see that you don't end up hurting someone.

Hem's voice quality is definitely better but I still like NCK more - but thats only 'cause I didn't get a chance to hear Hem sing songs like "kaun aaya", "jhanak jhanak tori", "are jaa re hat natkhat"
