It doesn't matter who wins - because at the end of the day the final 3 or 4 have got enough publicity - which is all that is needed. Karunya got enough of that (too much sometimes) from the 3 judges and the celeb judges.

I felt kind of bad that they were totally ignoring Sandeep. I mean - he is also a contestant there - atleast be impartial and not go totally gung-ho about one guy - to the extent of reading shers solely for him and reading out letters given to him by airhostesses.

That's one the reasons why Karunya lost (and also Vinit). He was being hyped up so much that people quite frankly begin to look at Sandeep as the ignored underdog, and hence voted for him (same for Debo in C2005).

I'm happy Sandeep atleast gets a car and an album to get him started. Karunya will make it big either way - so this win meant much more to Sandeep.

Has any one stopped South India from Voting ? It is just that they prefer to watch the regional channels more and zee/sony is not one of their top choices because it telecasts Hindi programs.

i am a south indian myself.. so i dont blame them either... regionalism is an issue that is going to be there.. and there isnt a solution for it.. not blaming people who vote completely..but yes..to a certain extent...if people were to have voted fairly.. i am not just talkin about south but the whole of india solely based on singing talent.. y did sharib get voted out so early ? why did rajeev stay for so long ? y didn't nihira win when she was the most superior of them all..

my views were just analyzing why sandeep might have won.. leaving the regional bias aside..what promted teh whole of india to vote for him ?

be it a good or a bad decision, i think its a decision and we have to accpet it.. i congratulate sandeep for winning and karunya for coming to this far..

How long will the stigma of NE votes stay on Debu. Debu's carrer is shaping up i am sure. He will be singing for a mahesh Bhatt film, and I am sure Ismailji will give him a chance. Shantanu Moitra, subhas ghai, etc. will definitely make him sing.

He will make it.. slow and steady always wins the race 👍🏼

I agree with you that public voting is a way of duping people of their hard earned money.

I (for the first time 😆) agree with shadyhtown ji... What he said does make sense...👏

Oh yes.. believe me.. I really want Debo to make it big in life...

Hemu and Nihira were my favourite in C05.. but I loved all the top 5.. I thought they were the best heard on reality TV for a long time..

Some of Debo's performances still haunt me when I think of them.. his Ek Haseena Thi, Ae Zindagi, that qawwali song.. super super performances.. I really wish him all success in life..

Saying that wishing Sandeep also HUGEEE success in life !

I read that

Sandeep's brother-in-law paid 30 people to vote day and night shifts. They even showed once during Sandeep's visit to his home town and It also came in the local news paper,

today while watching Aaaj Tak coverage i saw one guy saying that Karunya is talented nodoubt but they will vote for local boy...

with this kind of local support He won... unfortunately Karunya did not got..

Was it aaj-tak or taka-tak - I remember this one too... But as you said, cant blame the contestants for that... The best person might not have won but the most popular (based on SMS') did...

I agree 100 % with jadoogarji. Success should be measured by the quality not by the quantity.

I would rather have Debu do one song with Ismailji than 10 songs with hip hop happening Himesh reshammiya.

Ad, it always take lot of time to be successful, getting 10 opportunites now and then being faded away is worse than keep getting 2-3 opportunities and remain there. Example is Sonu Nigam and Shaan, they did not become star overnite like some of SRGMP contestants. But see where they are right now after all struggle. I know lot of people here will agree with Subhash K Jha. Again Madhavi it is not against you, it is in general.
