Bhaskar, please re-consider your decision. I would suggest that you let these fanclubs be in this forum, all members should be told to post old SRGMP related news only in respective fanclub threads, so old SRGMP related stuff will be limited to these fanclub threads.

Aslo, Paresh is new news since he was in "heat" show and that was placed in the thread.

I think this is a better solution.Don't give a punishment without warning.

Hi Bhaskar,

Firstly, I want to thank you for making this post, and suggesting alternatives. I do understand your problem because all fan clubs are not the same, as you pointed out to me yesterday. While I think this proposed solution of moving clubs and providing a sticky post in this section is not unacceptable, in my opinion, it should be executed only as a last resort, if all other attempts fail… because it is rather extreme.

Some valid reasons for not moving have already been given by Sumesh and Teenindia_usa…

If you move the fan clubs you will create isolation among forum members who are all interested in being together and discussing the same subjects. Like I said above, this would be an extreme action. I suggest you first give a warning to all members to limit the amount of useless topics and bumps. If any Fan Clubs still do not comply, then you should move those to the other section.

You told me yesterday that the Fan Club that I belonged to is not causing any problem. In that case isn't it VERY UNFAIR that we should be penalized ???? I'm sure you've all done searches on Fan Clubs and understand exactly what I'm saying…

Thanks again for considering… I'm hoping for a solution that keeps us unified.

Remember that it was SRGMP-Challenge 2005 for the past year, and it will go back to" SRGMP-Challenge 2006" in a few months... EMAET is a passing phase which will remain in focus only for a short while... The constant here is SRGMP...

But Fan Clubs are not getting closed. Just shifted. So still you all can interact and also post news of these participants. Believe me it is being done after lot of discussion and thoughts. We just now have no other alternative. We can't allow just C-2005 Fan Clubs here. If others want them for other contestants we'll have to allow that too. Especially of present show ones. So finally we land up with huge number of fan clubs here. Something that we want to avoid now.

Now when a seperate section has already been made regarding fan clubs so they will be shifted there. Sorry but thats something we will be doing soon. Just one request. Do send me the Fan Club threas links so that I can make a permanent topic here with links to all the Fan Clubs.

why this discrimination? when a section of members wants fanclubs to be here, why not let them be here... just coz one section does not want them, u shud not deny the ones who do... u cant isolate them like this... u r forcing them to leave this place and this forum... and more so uncalled for when musical threads are kept here when there is a seperate section for them already... i havent seen more fanclubs take front page than musical threads... they shud be moved to their relavant section as well...

fan clubs are an important part of any section
one could see how moving fan fics onto another section meant that sections like TD and Sinndoor have become almost void in terms of participation

Anyway i think we have a right to discuss and have fan clubs on C05 contestants bcos they are after all what brought us to SRGMp in the first place

if they are not gonna be here
then i for one wouldnt visit bcos emet is not that interesting for me anyway


but if it is being done then it shud be all for alll sections like II , FG ,KYPH
not only for SRGMP
that wouldnt be Fair

That is upto the Dev Team of that section. Here we are going to shift them. This is our decision.

Very well said... I completely agree with your statements...

But if they move our fan clubs, I will still visit the fan clubs, because I am interested in keeping up with my Challenge singers. However, I will no longer have any reason to come to this forum... (maybe until Challenge 2006 returns or something like that)
