Pls define effortless...there have been singers in reality music shows who seem to be putting in no effort at all 😉 Dont believe me..go watch Indian Idol... 😆

Vinit struggled a lot at very high and very low notes.
His bending down for low notes was not a performance thing...it was again to negotiate the dip in the notes. His voice went shrill at high notes and you could see his face screwed up again...not effortless at all.

Twinkle tried to sing efforlessly, but concentrated on performance. Her struggle to attain the desired ornamentations were masked by her performance, and hence she went off-key a LOT.


If we talk about Kishoreda manoji, I've heard he used to roll on the stage, kick his legs, etc and still sing perfectly in sur 😆 . Now that's GENIUS. 👏 .

We all must've seen Lataji sing. She's the EPITOME of perfectionism and efforless singing. She'll be reaching the 3rd octave without any line of effort on face, with full expressiveness, but her eyes will be stuck to the lyrics/notations stand. No wonder she's called the incarnation of Maa Saraswati.
About the same with Ashaji, Rafi sahab. Mannada could sing any damn thing with least effect, simply because of his rigourous classical training. I've seen him live (TV), and he's a good performer too, without losing sur at all...he's dead perfect. And there's not one expression of effort on his face.

Talat, I've never seen live, but by some of his songs where he goes high, it sound a tad little bit strained. So, he may have put in some effort to sing those. Same with Mukesh.

SPB again, comes in the category of Rafi Sahab and Ashatai...effortless, perfect live, and good performer too.

Now Yesudas is a different case. No effort whatsoever. And it is CLEAN singing. His face has a permanent expression of serenity, peace and love. Whatever he's singing. I love Yesudasji! 😊
