s there scope for songs in a movie like Main Aisa Hi Hoon?
Our industry is a musical industry so whether there is scope or no we have to have songs in a film. Maybe audiences like you and me or multiplex audiences can see a songless movie like Bhoot or Vastu Shastra, but in the B & C centers of our country even today a movie runs on one song. So it is a part of the commercial aspect of the Indian movie business. So there is always scope for songs in our movie whether one wants it or not is the director's protocol. Here Harry Baweja wanted music so GOD blesses Himesh. He has done a fabulous job, the music helps the narrative of the film it doesn't disturb it.

Commenting on this particular statement, she says is VERY true. I had never paid attn to the music of this movie, but I am just listening to it, its pretty soothing... honestly it sounds like the music from the early 90s, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan era.. nice feel to it..
Its true about a movie running on the basis of one song and in backward areas, they aren't going to understand a lot of movies being made today. Thats the reason Karan Johar's movies find a wider audience than Farhan Akthars. though Karan Johar makes the movie for the elite, the 'larger than life characers' and the 'escapist' cinema that works with the people in rural areas..
Similarly music like that works too.. ABA is played everywhere from Clubs to Dhabas, can you hear a Lukkha Chuppi played like that? Thats the power of music.. in a way it unifies a lot of things an thats y every movie has a scope for music..and it should...
I really thought so agree with you that is very good opinion.
