I think an incredible singer was discovered because of SRGMP excellent standards at that time.

She MIGHT have lasted into the 2nd round (3rd at best)... 😉😆

Personally, Shreya Goshal and Kunal Ganjawala is what SRGM has to show after 10 years and these 2 singers are more than enough and worth more than the silly fights happening now.

Shreya was PHENOMENAL at that age.. I have her Kuhu Kuhu Bole (Audiio) simply fantastic.. what control over her voice..

When people compare SRGMP to other reality shows saying that singers from that show got oppurtunity to sing faster than singers from SRGM then my reply to them is, even if these other shows strive for 50 years, they can't produce a singer of Shreya Goshal's calibre.. Nihira joshi is the ONLY one who comes close enough and she too is a SRGM prodigy !

I guess thats why she took her time to come into the industry, and BOY what an entry this was!

I would beg to disagree Madhavi ji... Some others may not have been as successful commercially (by that I mean "bollywood") but they're better singers than the two you've mentioned (IMHO). Please check the thread...

Oh yes, I have also said before in many posts about Mohd. Vakil and Parthiv Gohil... they are all a different class..

Why I mention Shreya and Kunal is purely because of bollywood success.. almost every1 knows that Shreya, Swetha Pandit, Kunal Ganjawala were all SRGM contestants.. i am talking only and ONLY about bollywood..

if production of 'quality' singers is the topic, SRGM has produced just too many to keep track off !

Its just that I am a huge fan of SRGM from the days when Sonu used to host it and get all worked up when people only talk about the more successful ones (again, in bollywood) and dont mention others...

Waise, even though they have not had the same success, Sneha Pant, Sanjeevani ji, Vijay Prakash ji have all done pretty well for themselves...

Oh totally, I was being very general in my post.. Shreya and Kunal are def. the more famous products of SRGM.. in terms of media and coverage..

I was just acting my age and being an old cranky fuddy-duddy... 😆

tahnks for the link - yes we sure have talanted singers !! and I am happy that through TV we can discover them instead of loosing them !!
