This is the second saregamapa competition which Debojit has won. Earlier one very good singer Hrishikesh won the same competiton twice at different times..(any body having any idea if any body won saregama thrice)I find some similarities between Debojit and Hrishikesh..Both come across as Gentlemen.

In my opinion, Hrishikesh has one of the best voice(or perhaps the best)among the male participants of saregamapa...We dont see his name in Hindi film industry. Its amazing how much competiton is out there to survive in Hindi film industry as a singer. Or it is your gentleness which comes in your way of making it big in the industry..

Is this the competition or lack of connections or pursuing things too gently which come in the way of becoming a success in film industry..Debojit and his mentor Ismail Darbar are both seems to be in that "idealistic category". Ismail has already got a good name but I read not very busy these days..That is depressing..HR on the other hand is pretty active and is having the maximum work these days..

What tricks HR has in his bags and would he pass it on to Vinit..Would Debojit follow footsteps of his mentor..Who will be more successful in the end..Seems like winning these compettions don't do much. There is a long list of people who have won saregamapa competitons and very few have made their mark in the industry including Kunal Ganjewala and Shreya..Any body having knowledge of what is required out there..😃

Yes, Hrishikesh had one of the best voices ever to be heard on the SRGMP stage. I still remmeber his Sarfaroshi Ki Tammanna, the song that ousted the 10 episode winner, Gaurav Bangia.

Yes, this guy Gaurav Bangia was almost unbeatable..He used to sing Mohammad Rafi songs so well..I watched that episode when Hrishikesh beat him ...I don't think he was ever beaten by anybody...In other competition in Dubai, he made a complete sweep of all the good singers and that also by good margin..I think Judge was OP Nayar...but where he is now..

I dunno. I heard him in the international rounds as well as the popular choice too. A few of my classmates were lucky enough to go for the finals in Dubai and were totally impressed by his voice.

He also won the popular choice series where they had the best come back.. nihira joshi came back tat time too...

i read in another post taht hrishikesh married another finalist prajakta joshi and is settled in pune now and is giving performances there.

Hrishikesh does shows with his wife Prajakta. Next weekend, I am going to this event of Marathi Bhavgeet where both of them will be singing! 😊

His Rang De Basanti (The Legend of Bhagat Singh) was also a great performance!!

I happen to hear that performance Rang de basanti(The legend of bhagat Singh) on TV.That was such a wonderful performance. He also sang some marathi bhajan type song that day..I feel he has absolute control over his sur..I remember he scored like 98 out of 100 in the finals from the judges..Hopefully he make it big in the industry(if he is interested).Enjoy your show.

I saw his wife on the stage..Is that right she is a finalist of saregamapa..wow

Hrishikesh Ranade was winner of the two SRGMP mega events-- World Series (in Dubai) and Popular Choice. Rahul Saxena won 2 mega evenst (Golden Voice Hunt and ??) so did Ronkini Gupta (World Series and ??) and Arpita Mukherjee. Where are all of them now. I have heard Hrishikesh's best songs from all the SGRMP shows and to me he is certainly better than Debu and Vinit but where is he today? Same with Ronkini. I think other than Nihira, she is better than all other female SRGM 2005 finalists but why has she not made mark yet. Not all the winners make big. So I won't be surprised if C2005 contestants and winners get few songs and then struggle. Every year we had at least 2 SRGMP event winners. How many of them made to big. Very few.

You are very right ..very few make it big...Kunal Ganjewala mentioned he has to struggle for 14 years..Shreya Goshal was perhaps lucky ..she got a big break with Sanjay Leela Bhansali...I feel Vinit ,Debojeet,Hema Nihira, Himani, Ujjaini already know so many MD's now..they may get a chance easily here and there..this show was much more publicized..

When you are 17 and at the verge of going to College and are not getting any offers from the Film Industry ...you perhaps go for professional degree...Only if you have junoon for becoming a singer than you take a chance and struggle for 14 years...Hats off to Kunal Ganjewala for his perseverence..Looks like Debojit, Nihira have been around for some time now...Hopefully they make it big...Vinit has a solid support of HR..Hema has been recognized by none other than Subhash Ghai and one good song ..it may help him to make it..Himani has backing os AS...Jatin Lalit seems to like this girl Ujjaini a lot..I think this crop of singers may have a better luck than the previous ones because of the mentorship...

It is surprizing that Nihira who is hands down the best singer among females has never one saregamapa competition...It is a lot about your luck also in this field..I am wondering who will be still there in 10 years from now..
