Debo's victory is a matter of rejoice for those who sincerely think that Debojeet is a better singer than Vinit.
It is a matter of rejoice for all those who think that every part of India is an integral part, each vote is an Indian vote regardless of the place it comes from.
It is also a matter of rejoice for those who think like me that HR is squarely responsible for damaging the decorum of SRGM with pyar/tamasha/arrogance/topi etc. All those who think HR was a Ravana who deserved to be defeated, please join me in congratulating Debo & wishing best of luck to all remaining participants including Vinit. He is one person who has suffered acutely under HR, may he find a genuine guru now....!

But I always believed that Debo is 'the' winning material....yes Sharib and Hema are good singers...but they need a year or more to get there....you know what I mean?

echoed my sentiments. with all due respects to honorable Sinhaji, i felt exactly the same. Hema has low notes nailed down, vinit some of the higher notes. but if u're thinking of traditional indian music (not the HR type), most notes r middle range n that's where debo excels, more than anyone i heard

I totally agreed with Many people and with many memebers of this forum. debojit is not India's voice he is NE's Voice. the prgm must change its line -"India's Voice" to "Zonal's Voice".

but the matter is really never ending debate. so this time i think we accept the decision.

one more thing my friends that may be the motto of this prgm to provide the best singer to industry and prgm achive its aim. today all the top of 12 participants sing for industry.
Although our fav is not won but we must feel good that atleast our fav participants sing for industry.

I want to Thank from my heart to Mr. Gajender. this prgm (challenge2005) is really a "Reallity Show". many times when i see the prgm , i also feel bad and not able to hold my tears- not becouse of himani or nihira or vinit or hemachandra or ujjaini loose the compition but due to that when they sing, my emotions cant controll, they all not sing the song they live the song. when they sing their singing is full of emotions.

I request to Mr. Gajender that do continue such efforts. your devotions to music is heart touching.

Congratulations SaReGaMaPa Team to achive your goal. waiting for next.

vishu

A really rational and nice post from a person who has maintained a stoic and logical demeanour amongst largely partisan and vitriol spewing forum members some of whom even the SRGMP contestants finalists or otherwise would not have accepted as supporters. Debojit's win has definitely silenced the Bachcha party who unfortunately does not know (most of them actually) anything about music and listens and appreciates the cacophony drummed out by the likes of HR and AS. One thing is sure by this win it is proved once agina that versatility will always be appreciated by music lovers of all ages. And as far as the voting goes am not aware of the breakup but if Silchar assam and the NE states were behind Debojit then why did the north leave its contestant astray. And lets not forget both of them came thru a process where they faced the same judges and the same opponents, and according to me Debojit even had to face shenigans of opponent mentors as well who should have been like the judges - totally impartial.

Brilliant post Sinhaji.

very nice post..
my favorite was nihira but i rejoiced Debu winning and would have been disappointed if the result was not in his favour.I do not like to use strong words but HR was a real pain/irriatating and unfair.ID may not be very polished but always encouraged and appriciated good singing.Debu had come up with some very good performances
Ae subah shabnami
Rim jhim gire sawan
Na to karvan ki talask hai
to name a few
So CONRATULATIONS to DEBOJIT
and YALGAR HO
