lolzzzz !!!!!!!!!!! ID songs r mainly not targetted at a big audience!!! they mainly for the older ppl init!!! i guess thats y !!!! n i fink HR songs r more apealing to a wider audience!! i mean teens enjoy listenin to it n so do mid aged peeps!!!!

n i fink he's got a bit of urban music style in his singing!!! which western people find unique n appealing !!

but i gotta say i have heard abit of devdas n its cool!!! i liked couple of songs in that album, but i got over it in a few days!!!!

Please stop finking...and let's think.

Devdas's popularity vs Aksar's. You know, we have regional dance shows here...and we're still using songs from Devdas.
There are few examples that can be compared to Kisna. I'm sure Abhi's done a superb job explaining that.
As far as target audience. Let's put it this way. ID's music, though small in quantity, will remain far more popular than HRs in the long run. Trust me when I say that there is a LARGE population of people who do appreciate genuine music.

Sorry Jemdi, this one could not be helped. More power to you for liking HR...but opinions do differ.

ID's music is very Indian. That's our music.

Thank you!👏

I am in UK but I think you are either from southhall, green street ,luotn or somewhere similiar as we call them INNAY type every thing or may I say FING is innay,ID is a MUSICIAN and HR is COPY CAT or may I say the NASAL type ,u can sing his songs beautifully when u have blocked nose oe just hold your nose and start singing, and unfortunately he has passed THIS TALENT to Vineet .

I appologize if I offended any body I am really sorry

both are good but still talking of himesh reshmmiya , his music is catchy and different and he is creative but i completely agree with adwarkanath that ismail sahab's music has more indian shade , and whenever we about classical music we know it is going to last , take example of any classical music or singers , see even kishore da was not trained but he could carry the classical heritage of indian music . himesh music is good for a change and you would actually enjoy it for few weeks but it would eventually fade , but if you actually listen to ismail darbars music hum dil de chuke sanam it is melodious with beautiful lyrics and MEANINGFUL thats the more important word. and is going to last even if you listen to it after 3-4 years from now it would still be SOOTHING.LYRICS would explain the whole story to you.

West adapting to the antique Indian music u got that damn wrong!! As according to me more urban flavour music is now preferred in contemporary society. Classical or wt ever ancient music has actually drifted way back! I don't kno wt part of the world ur from but I dnt really hear the olden days music playing at this end of the world!!! And in fact people prefer modern remix tunes better than the old slow songs!! Although I have come cross many of my dads records like the old time favourite of kabhi kabhi n etc yeh they are cool songs but they dnt really have a huge popularity at the present time!!
N about Devdas yeh its cool at first, but one gets sick of it very soon!!
And of course western music is my favourite, but I think there a generational gap between us people coz u like beetles, who have actually faded away for me n thus I prefer the modern hip pop and RNB, slow jams and people like sean paul, R.kelly, 112, Mariah carey n etc!!! And so this gap between the tastes we have will obviously never change!! Coz every person has there own likes n dislikes!!! N course I agree Bollywood music has its own soul!!! And this is great!!!
So ID for me is okay!! But not really my type!!! As I have heard the same sorts of songs again n again n the same old tunes tend to bore me!!! Although A.R Rahman is fab!!! His music is kind of cool!!! 😉

And yes, there's no need to show ur pity on one's view!!! Coz it seems rather disturbing for me to understand that y people cnt appreciate others views n opinions!!! N u never know one's view might develop your thinking!!! (((viper8234))) 😡
N no I am no ware from there!!! I'm actually from central London!!!! ((Abdi))
