Internet voting

Hi guys

im not sure if this has been posted before.. it probably has but im kinda new here.. i just had one questions.. since im am NRI i cant vote for the singers, but i just saw the online voting poll on sifymax. are those votes actually counted towards their win or is it just an online poll and makes no difference to the real voting? i wasnt sure coz in the show they keep saying INDIA KI AWAZ

Do internet votes count? I've had the same question. All I can say is this -- I don't think anyone who's not an insider knows for sure. We can only guess because the producers of the programme have let this be fuzzy.

I asked Debojit the same question in an email. He replied saying he was thankful for my support, but didn't address my question. He must have been too busy to read all of my note.

We have conflicting signals ...

If they counted, why don't they include them in the breakdowns ?

For the past few weeks, they've been fixing up their voting page and making it more secure. For instance, they've moved to using a graphic image of the security code, making it harder for automated bots to vote. Why else would they put in all this effort if they didn't count ?

But then, why don't they publicize the URL on the program, just like do for the phone numbers ? As some have suggested, maybe it is a gimmick after all.

However, there was that one show in which Hema and Nihira tied for last place. I vividly recall that Shaan stated that "while the individual vote tallies from SMS, phone and *internet* were different, the grand total was identical, hence it was a tie." Well, he did mention "internet" so they may be they are counting them ...

On the other hand, I still can't believe that was a tie ... it's statistically possible, but in reality, highly improbable ... they rigged the whole thing !! Anyway, I digress ;-)

I would have been more than willing to sit down and painstakingly shell out a few hundred votes for my favourite singer, but without knowing for sure, I'm not wasting my time.

yea the reason i asked it coz not in the last episode but the one before that where the three music directors were the judge, shaan announced the total voting for debojit and vineet and even included the word internet votes.. im not sure if neone remembers this but he announced it wen he said vineet got abt 47% and debu got about 52% total.

Internet voting is on and vite as much as you can for debojit.

Yes, they count. So, if u support Debu, please keep voting for him as he is said to be trailing by about 1% vote

Yes internet vote counts now..

It was just removed 4 one week to eliminate Hemachandra from the contest.. 😡

They never showed how much internet votes were polled for each contestant by internet in the feb 2nd/3rd episode...

sHAAN STARTED MENTIONING IT AGAIN IN LAST EPISODE

What I feel, is that the "Internet voting" feature was added to get you ATTACHED. That's all. Of course, you can see from the behaviour of internet voting that the system was in place for taking log of IPs voting and restrictions on voting logic etc. The Internet Voting feature was refinined during Paresh's 2nd or 3rd round, when they realized UK fans can vote more conveniently only from web. But the truth is that inspite of publicizing the means of alternate voting via internet it wasn't taken in account of counting in any result so far. Ltely, the result declread was always flashed region+metro, and then zone-wise of zones within India. Never seen overseas vote count! Is it remained just an eye wash?

If they had to count it in the result, it would have been either unbelievable outcome or the diluted the issue of Zone that was keeping more wwight to show's publicity.

You won't believe maximum internet votes trend went something like in the below order:
initially, HC/NJ/DS ----- (till final-5),
then, HC/DS --------(final-4 & final-3),
then, DS ---------(final-2).
That was for your favorite singers…
If Zee really wants to take the numbers in stock, then

Now, you may feel that your effort of voting to your favorite candidate via Internet remained uncontributing. True. We cannot help, needless to mention many of you made daily sincere attempts of voting, one from office one/two from home, many of you shared PC in your office, when you encountered one vote/IP/day restriction you were eager to count it for next day, some of you requested friends in call center staff, even in computer institutes to spare their 10 seconds, on every machine, every day, some of you visited intenet caffe, hopped terminal to terminal, and much more … all this because you were not in India, not called from eligible ZONE!
