DEBOJIT , VINIT , ID , HR and SHAAN came to CALCUTTA and performed at THE CITY CENTRE MALL at SALT LAKE . Actually , my father watched the show live but I will try to give the updates based on his facts .
The show began at around 6:30 p.m . But the problem was the organisers did not put up any notice about the function so most of us were flabbergasted when they started. The show was started by none other than SAPTAK ( Why did nt I go there ????đ ) who as usual was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING . He performed some songs of KISHORE KUMAR ( My father cant remember which songs he sang but he sang BRILLIANTLY nonetheless.)
After SAPTAK came KEKA and she performed individually as well as duets with SAPTAK.By this time , the entire space in front of CITY CENTER was filled up with people.They were followed by NILADRI & UJJAINI .They performed JUST CHILL and some others.
Finally , the two finalists came up on stage and the atmosphere almost exploded as everyone started cheering their names . My father said that DEBOJIT was more popular among the general masses by far and I dont think tahat HR was too happy about it . They performed songs like JEENE KE HAI CHAAR DIN , COME TO ME ( BLUFFMASTER ) , etc etc .
The organisers were HANGOUT restaurant and the owner of the restaurant is a client of my father and so he took him to meet the mentors and the challengers and they actually took photos with my father !!!!
BUT ..now I am coming to the main incident of the programme. There was a slight controversy among one of the GUESTS and the people and I think you prople can guess who started it . DEBOJIT was talking to the public in BENGALI and suddenly HR pounced on him and said that he didnt want DEBOJIT to talk in BENGALI and this statement hit the BENGALI sentiment and everybody started shouting at HR ( Why did they not throw shoes at him? đ ) and HR had to back down.
I wish I was present there . I would have thrown stones at him and HR would have to hightail out of CALCUTTA pronto.
