This is an interview that was carried in today's (9th Feb) edition of Calcutta Times, a supplement with Times of India in Kolkata.

Q: Is it true that you had a spat with Himesh Reshammiya recently?

A: No. There was a difference of opinion between us but it was not anything major. Himesh did not corner me and I don't think there is any reason for us to blow things out of proportion. There was no verbal clash between us. Himesh is a very intelligent person and I believe his actions are just meant to create a hype for his protg.

Q: But apparently you didn't agree to give a flattering 10 out of 10 to Himesh's protg for a show?
A: It's a fact that Himesh's protg, Vineet, sang Nikamma very well. The song has been composed by Himesh. But as a judge, I feel that there can a snag in everyone's performance. If every judge is giving the perfect 10 for a contestant, what's the point in having a judge? I feel that Vineet's rendition was very melodious. But the Nikamma song needs to have an animalistic appeal. That's how I have sung it for the film Kya Dil Ne Kahaa and it was the animalistic appeal that made the song so popular. Vineet came up with a very naapa tula performance. But that power in the song was slightly missing.

Q: Do you get upset when any singer sings your song offkey?
A: I feel very flattered when any singer sings my numbers. Why should I feel let down? In any case, I have always maintained that the film songs are actually the composers' babies. The singer is just lending his voice. The song ultimately belongs to the composer.

I think this interview shows how irritated everyone is with HR's antics.....even Shaan has talked about HR hyping Vinit!!! When will HR get some sense.😡

exactly....n in today's show I loved the way ID was making tongue-in-cheek comments about HR's hyping.....I loved the way he said "kya karen Debo to shadi-shuda bhi...usska koi love story bhi nahi bana sakte..!!" 😆 😆

I think whatever shaan has said in an interview about giving points is right. Everytime the contestants should not be given full 10 marks. If they are given, then what is the use of judging them? Perfectly right. Exactly my thoughts. Since when I had this in mind. A perfect 10 should be given very rarely if the contestant sings so well. Like the one Hema sung WOH LAMHE and Nihira sung CHUP CHUPKE from Bunty aur babli.
Otherwise nobody deserved perfect 10.

Look guys now Shaan has also opened his mouth against HR...

HR seems to be there in a mood to spoil the show..

sadly GS who seems to have become HR's yaar didnot show any footage on HR while ID was taking him to the cleaners 😉

ya...even today after such nice songs n a good show on the whole...HR had to just had to😡 bring up all the BS about regional voting n god knows wat he means by universal voting!!! N while Debo very nicely asked for votes mentioning that plz let it not happen that I get this tag that I was here only because of NE sates...the camera panned in on HR whispering furiously into Vinit's ear...obviuosly coaching him what to say....n pat came Vinit's request loaded with regional sentiments....!!I just can't stand HR anymore!!😡
