Is that so. I have read it this way. In fact, my recollection goes that Dev Saab was quite opposed to Panchamda's style of music.

But of course, you may be right.

just checked in "swaraashaa": gurudev was released in 1993. and apparently "1942 a love story" in 1994.

but the fact remains that gurudev was released before 1942 ...

when lata mangeshkar was 4-5 year old she corrected her father's disciples (much older than lata) practicing raag puriya dhanashree while her father was not around. he had to go out for some time.

lata mangeshkar is not the eledest daughter of her father. she had an elder sister who passed away in her infancy.

according to pt bhimsen joshi (from his biography) what's common between him and lata (well, apart from music)?

they both like to read murder mysteries!
