Hey raghav,do u remember one participant who came third perhaps in mega final with Parthiv & Mohd wakil who always used 2 sing gazals,he had a very sweet tone,he wore spectacles.I remember all that but i don't remember his name.do you?and if u have his any song plz post na?and Sudeshna also.

Mohd Vakil's name is in Veer Zara movie's audi CD for the Qawwali "Aaya Tere Dar Pe". There are 4 male singers. Cannot really tell who Mohd Vakil is out of those.

I hope he gets chance for singing some quality music. Is he singing in movies?

Shreya lost the kids megafinal to Sneha Pant, but next year she came back in the senior league and defeated Shampa Kundu.

Raghav, I think shreya was younger than 17 at the time of mega finals. It was before Devdas right.

No, Ameya Date was not on that megafinal. The megafinalists were Md. Vakil, Parthiv Gohil, Mukund, Bela, Sanjeevani, and Sudeshna Ganguli. Md. Vakil and Bela won the megafinals. Except Mukund and Sanjeevani everyone was of 17-19 age group.

SRGM used to be a real music show then. It used to have classical round, semiclassical round, regional round, dhun round, scale round, folk round, and the contestants were tested all round.

All the participants of SRGMP 2005 would have been kicked out then. The only participants who could compete on the old SRGM mega's would be Nihira, Sharib, Hema, and Debu. Earlier all the singers were classically trained, and not bathroom singers like Rajeev and Paresh.

I miss the old SRGM.
