My funniest moment was when HR was asking VINEET- whether he should tell the audience about his true love....then VINEET went on his knees to HR...then SHAAN goes:

''Look at him sir, he's saying to tell us!''

Then VINEET was going wild saying no. I can't exactly remember what SHAAN said but it sure was funny 😆

I can think of two extremely funny incidents that took part in SRGMP CHALLENGE 2005.

1. In the QUALIFYING ROUNDS after SHAAN had sang the opening song , he introduced the 5 mentors very enthusiastically but the mentors were looking quite agitated. When he asked them the reason for them being so serious ,they appeared to be very angry at SHAAN and scolded him for that opening song , saying things like " SUBHA SE KYA KHAYA HAI , GALA SE AAWAAZ NAHI NIKAL RAHA HAI " " AESE GAATE HO TO GHAR JAAKE SO JAO "etc. Boy .. you should have seen SHAAN's face at that moment .. His face was looking like a boiled potato. After that , the mentors said that they were kidding . That brought out a laughter in me 😆 .
2. The contestants imitating the mentors in an episode of UNCENSORED . The heroes were Sharib ( Jatin ) and Niladri ( ID ). They were ABSOLUTELY fantastic.Niladri like ID was getting the mike last and saying this fact in a very sad manner "AAKHRI ME MUJHE MIKE MIL HI GAYA " .Sharib on the other hand was jumping up like Jatin and saying " MAIN DAAVE KE SAATH KEH RAHA HU..." like Jatin. 😆 That was sure quite a laugh . You people should seen it .

i agree contestants imitating mentors was absolutely funny. espesially sharib copying jatin with a pen held between fingers ....😆

First of all I am a huge Nihira fan (I am repeating it for the last time) 😊

1. I really found it funny how Nihira used to "dance/move" like a doll in opening group performances. I found it really-really sweet. I watch all of her videos again and again solely for her singing and dance.

2. When three of them decide walkout, the scene between them and ID was really funny in a sense and then Shaan speaking to them in an angry tone was even funnier bec'se I think he was trying his level best to get angry. 😛

Shaan is truly funny.

In one of the episodes (I think when Rajeev gets eliminated), Shaan keeps asking ID who he thinks would be out and in the end ID walks out to the stage and says something funny...

And in another episode where Paresh asks for votes in Gujarati could fumbles with words and says "Hindi seekhte seekhte Gujarati bhool gaya hoon"... 😆

this is in nihira elimination episodes when ismailji chides everybody "yeh hasne wali baat nahi hai" shaan was smiling about something, but after hearing ismailjis remark he looks down like a child who has been scolded 😆 😆 😆 i fell off my chair at shaans expressions. i think it was one of the most funniest momemnts in saregamapa 05.

lol i agree!and one of the episodes after shaan performed the mentors scared him judging his song and shaan was so shocked and confused...then they all said he should relax coz they were kidding

my funny moment was when ID imitated HR when he ran onto stage shouting Jai Mati-Di lets rock!!

also i found it hilariously funny when HR sang ABA with his weird hand movements

also funny was the time when Debu became Chumma kumar

Oh yes and can anyone remember the Elimination rounds when one guy was out and I think he was Niladri's friend who went on to say... "yeh mera bhai hai... ek he kamrey main rehte hain hum..." to which one of the judges responded aisi baat phir na karna kyunke doosre desh ke logh isska alag matlab nikaalen gay

This is definitely the funniest thread on this forum. Some of you brought back some really hilarious memories.

Let me add a few of my own:

-RD Burman Xplosive episode: Vineet sang Aaja aaja. Aadesh says "the track has been changed". So Shaan says something lame (can't remember) and I think Himesh gives an excuse, and Aadesh says "he's not a little child anymore" (implying that the track shouldn't be changed for him).

Then Vineet tries to butt in, and Aadesh says "Aap bhot chote hain na? Jab bade baat kartehain to...." ("you're very small aren't you? When elders speak....")

And Vinnet goes "Sorry" and puts his little hand over his mouth.

Then Himesh gets all excited and says something like "Gajji, meri kasam, don't edit this" and he keeps shouting it (and you hear Gajji say "ok ok, I won't").

How about the time when Himesh Reshmonkey says:

"Vineet, if you have to choose between your love and your mother, who would you choose?"

Vineet says "Sir, of course, my mother". And Himesh gets all excited and shouts "MINDBLOWING".

What about the time when Niladri tells Sharib "As a friend, I'd like to advise you not to add your own stuff on the track" and Sharib gives him a dirty look.

How about when Nihira gets eliminated, and Shaan announces that it was very close. He then announces the percentages for Himani, Debojit and Hemachandra, and when he says "Hemachandra did well, he got 20.2%" the camera goes on Hemachandra who looks really confused.

First Agnipariksha performances, when they sing A.R Rahman songs. Paresh sings a tapori song from Rangeela. He then walks down to the mentors and gives them roses (while performing) and I think it was Aadesh, or JL, who looked really confused, as if to say "What's this Brit doing?"

When Ismail Darbar leaves the show after Debojit's performance, everyone is silent, and Sidhu goes "what happened, yaar?"
