Given the regional twist to the voting, I would suggest they go to points based scoring to make it more fairer and truely, make it INDIA's voice. You get points based on percentage vote received from various zones.

All these publicily voted shows are a joke !!!!

What are we trying to achive with public votes, lets take a few so-called talent shows for example.

1) Fame Gurukul - The singing-talent (winners) are Qazi and rooprekha. Neither of them have any singing ability, with qazi totally clueless about the basics of singing. Rooprekha has extremely poor diction and dialect of speaking hindi and mediocre singing ability.

2) Indion Idol (2) - Guys if this is the talent we have then its a sad state for Indian music, none of the final 12 can sing properly. They are pathetic at best.

3) Sa Re Ga Ma - This is the only show which has true singing talent, it was going great have final 10 based on opionions of expert judges GREAT .... then why let the public vote from there onwards .... invite a panel of 10 judges (former music directors, singers) and let them decide the winner. That way their is no question of bias or regional promotion of votes being caste based on looks or anything silly like that.

We had HEMA, HIMANI, VINEET wanting to walk-out nothing wrong with it but atleast have the guts to say why you want to walk out!! You have Ismail Darbar creating publicity for Debo with a walkout.... and Himeash for bringing vineets love life .... WHO GIVES A FLYING TOSS ABOUT VINEET's LOVE LIFE..... we are there to listen them sing and nothing more ....

It is absolute garbage to see contestants begging for votes every week. If you are good then should be selected by experts purely on merit.

The public voting has made the Challange 2005 a mockey.

They are not voting for the ability just for the name and teh region. A sad state of affairs.

Among the 3 surviving participants, I rate Hema as the best.
A sound music back ground. Ho love life for publicity and no sympathy votes like Debo. ID is over reacting and he knows very well thet Debo should have been booted long back.

Hema U are the true winner

I personally believe that if a person feels very strongly about some issue, he or she should be able to articulate on the same. The walk out staged by Himani, Vinit and hemachandra seemed a little artificial, neither of them were able to come out and say why they were walking out. One reason could be that their hearts were not in it. For they are not inarticulate. when Himani left, she spoke enough. I attribute this whole "walking out" action to some "khichdi" cooked by AS and HR.

I, for one, blame Adesh Srivastava, Himmesh Reshamiya and Ismail Darbar for the entire fracas on the show. sa re ga ma was always a "proper singing contest" unlike the other reality shows. One could rest assured that the winner would indeed be the best singer. Sadly, this does not seem to be the case and the main reason for this is the antagonism created by the mentors. To be fair, until AS and HR started discriminating against Debojit, ID has always been fair to all contestants. Why then did AS and HR start giving Debojit 6 and 7 marks for performances which really deserved an 8 or a 9. Nihira, Himani, hemachandra, vinit and debojit are all excellent singers. But amongst them, probably debojit has never been the best on any given day or performance. Still, this is was no reason for HR and AS to discriminate against him. That led to ID walking out and then the staged walk out by the contestants. Which in turn contributed to Debojit's retention.

I really believe that Himani and Nihira are both much much better singers as compared to Debojit and I feel bad that they got eliminated. But, I still feel that if the mentors had been fair to all contestants, this stage would not have been reached. people could just concentrate on the best singer without getting into personal issues.

After all, how does it matter (in the issue of deciding who is the best singer) whether debojit visits an old age ashram every day or whatever. so many of us grow up as orphans or loose our parents very young. And the whole thing about his wife leaving her job to support him. So, what? Should he be chosen as the winner because of this?

And Vinit, who cares about his love life? How does that matter? Is that any reason to choose him as the winner? And why does HR go on and on about his love life?

After the contestant wins the show, there will be enough time to highlight all the struggles and sacrifices and the love lives and all such matters. Why clutter the minds of viewers with this rubbish while they decide who is the best singer?????

Ideally, himani, nihira, hemachandra and vinit should have fought at final four stage, after that it really did not matter who finally won because all of them are wonderful singers and can directly move to singing playback. Debojit is a good singer and with some more effort he can also be good though at this stage, clearly, the others are more superior just in terms of singing talent.

But in the silly competitive war waged by AS and HR, it is Debojit who seems to be coming out as the winner and I think it is sad that good talent is being hidden behind manipulative mentors. And, to be fair, debojit is a really nice guy and can win the title of "Mr. Nice Guy" any day. he handled the whole situation remarkably well. But are we looking only for Mr. Nice?

Hi, First time posting, but long time viewer of Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa. Love the show. Let's be objective, have any of you searched on "Google" on SaRaGaMaPa Debo - you will find that our brother/sisters in North East have taken it as a challenge to get Debo in. I found web sites, door to door, newpaper interview etc - student union getting involved in voting for Debo. Clearly, the voting is based on Debo being from North East and not due to his talent. I am not saying that debo is not taleted, but other are excellent. If Debo is good, then all India would be voting for him, why only North East.

Secondly, I think Debo has perfected the act of using his "dead mother (may her soul rest in peace)" sympathy to the max. Why does he NOT let his mother rest in peace (God bless her). In that manner, Himani does no gimmick - she sings with her hearth ... no dead mother, love, etc etc - the girls were class above than the boys. Specially, when Nihira and Himani left - how beautifully and gracefully they bid farewell. Hats off to them.

the way, himesh brings up vinits personal love life into the picture is infact, disgusting. he is using these tactics to get votes for his student. if he really belives so much in his students ability, n has confidence, thn he shud sit calm. the way he always tries to praise vinit shows us tat , how confident he is abt his student. he requests indian junta to vote for vinit, becoz he is in SO CALLED LOVE... is this show is for vinits love?
ismail . debojit n his wife always try to make every1 emotional by their sad n emotional stories.. n just want to get votes by triggering sympathy. is tat right?

👏Very valid points. An ideal Guru will praise just enough to encourage, not in a way that shows pride\and arrogance.

Every song by their own student was "mind blowing" and the best of the show".😕These music directors who have hardly tasted success are not fit to become Gurus..they themselves have a long way to go. They are all very talented and successful but they are not humble, a quality they should imbibe before they take on shishyaas in their "gharanas".

I laugh when they talk of being original, don't they think of these things when they shamelessly lift tunes. So far only ID has composed original numbers, thanks to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose movies demand Indian calssical and folk.

Good luck to these young kids.....good exposure to the filmy music world.

Several have already said so much there isn't much left but my thoughts on this are:

1)No public voting should be allowed in a talent show of this caliber.A majority are just music lovers and not so knowledgable. They are impressed by a performance in general...dance,looks,overrule the singing. So it's not a fair judgement anyway. If they want to involve the general public,(like a jury of law),they should contact persons who have a background of music. They may not be famous persons because they did not get an opportunity in their time.Gajendra Singh and his wife,Ashwini shouldn't have a problem with this. They have an excellent research team. They can contact music schools and art circles.

2)After the Final 10 were selected, neutral judging should have been done because all the mentors are not gracious enough to appreciate talent from other gharanas.

3)Now that the above 2 points were not included in the programme, taking into consideration that public voting mattered, multiple voting was a blunder. This ruined the whole sancity of the challenge, which otherwise was one of the best in so many years.

4)The walk out by the 3 participants was wrong but if it was not staged as suspected by many, then the mentors are responsible for it.They themselves are not good sports. They talk of Assam as if it were a foreign country. They may have not advised the 3 youngsters to behave the way they did but drove them to such thinking.
This is a game of egos now, because no matter who wins, the really talented ones will make it in life anyway. So it's all about which Gharana.

Maybe I am wrong,I thought the challenge was to find a NEW voice, not someone who can sing like someone famous and do stage shows.

The Final 5 were all very good and should have been judged fairly on the basis of the day's performance.
Sad that it's being based on how emotional the participant can make the viewer by narrating how they are fulfilling someone's dream.
Wasn't it a dream of every participant's to make it???

Only Hope Gajendra Singh has learnt some valuable lessons!!!I still love SA RE GA MA PA. 👏

👏 i totally agree.
And i feel nihira s the most talented of all.
But if perfomance is also counted then only and only Twinkle Bajpai was THE deserving candidate. i think Twinkle was not able to do well in some somgs due to some manipulation like mentally torturing her.
