If SaReGaMaPa is to be redeemed then

It should go back to old format where a panel of judges chooses the best candidate

This is the only solution now. It may not be right for the other candidates who are out now but now the show's, mentors, director's and Zee's legitimacy is at stake.

Let's have a formal public vote on this.

Also let's have a vote on getting the top 8 back.

Quitters cannot be Winners.

The contestants who decided to quit are either too arrogant to insult the platform that gave them the opportunity to be India's voice or are too weak to accept challenges when things seem a little hard. In either case, India's ki choice cannot be quitters.
The contestants did not even give proper reasons for leaving, used scapegoats like Nihira, though she was not in the contest and had gracefully accepted the public decision.

They took the decision only after Debojit was announced the highest votegetter. It seemed more like a conspiracy than anything else. Hence Gajji should fire all the quitters for insulting tha platform and viewers and announce Debojit the winner. It does not matter now who is the best singer. India's choice has to first be a strong, just and mature person, only then he / she could make the country proud. We don't want Quitter's to represent us. Quitters cannot be winners!

i thought sa re ga ma pa was the leader and did not need to rely on the gimmicks that the other music programmes follow and get voting.

they have been getting judges who are qualified to judge the candidates without getting political or racial or judging on account of where the candidate is from. it is not in good taste to hear candidates talking in their native language requesting for votes from their area of origin. this makes the format of the programme debatable in the first place.

now that this is the format from day one, no one can question this. even if they are better singers, they have to face the music

I think people from all over India should vote for Debojit. I live in the US and consider myself Indian...so I was shocked to see that the 3 participants could stage a walk-out just because Debojit is from the North East (btw, I am not from the NE)....to keep the spirit of India high, vote for Debojit.....else this makes me think is India one country???

please, vote for Debojit, vote for India....and he is also a damn good singer...classical trained, very versatile...

I saw the show and rely on the English discussions. Some of the mentors walked out and back in the show. I think the three felt they can do the same.
These talented singers will be back but can the producers
not regulate the one vote system. No mentors encouraging public to vote to some contestants.
Let the show go on.
Sorry to see Shaan so sad as he really incourages new talants.

In the beginning I did not think highly of Debojit. But after listening to his unforgettable rendition of 'Ek chaturaanan' (Kishore Kumar-Padoson) and 'Ek ladki ko dekha' (Kumar Shanu-1942 A Love Story), I started taking Debojit seriously. Remember HR's recent warning to Vineet that Debojit was coming up as a strong contender. So if Debojit gets highest vote, others should not express utter disbilef in that.
In my humble opinion, Nihira is the bestest singer I have ever listened to in any Indian music competetion. Her exceptionl rendition of 'I love you' (Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Originally sang by Asha Bhonsle AND Usha Uthup) was simply ethereal.
I like Himani's tonal quality and HemaChandra's singing depth prodded by his classical base.
I do not see any particular appeal in Vineet singing. He is more free style Rafi-like and he belongs to the neo Boliwoody genre a-la Himesh Reshmiya.
I can not condone the quiting by the contestants. The comepetetion ended for me the day Nihira packed.
I do not like 100% public voting for musical talent search. However, the combination (judge and public vote, and conetstant vote) selection process of Fame Gurukul proved equally disastarus.

I dont know if i fully support them walking out, but i will say that when Debojit got the highest votes, I felt that it was unfair. Ismail D. walked out of the last show. Debojit's wife gave an emotional speech. At that time I would like to say that Ismail D was right in walking out as he was still upset about Neehira being outted and then the other mentors gave Debojit a low score on his performance and he walked out. I dont know why everyone keeps forgetting that we are down to the final 4. Debojits voice cracked in the middle of that performance and in comparison to the rest of the contestants, Debojit did deserve that rating. He is a very good singer no doubt, but he hasnt been consistant. Yes we can remember a few times that he sang this song or that. But the rest of them have shown a better performance than their last time if not the same. This is a show where only one person will win. Debojit is good but at this point when you put all of them up against each other, he is the worst out of the best. I feel he shouldve gone BEFORE Neehira. Either way, out of respect for the mentors and to not come out and say it, the three who walked out couldnt say why, but let me tell you what i felt. Because of all the emotions flying from Mr Darbar and the public appeals, anyone could tell that Debojit got the votes purely based on sympathy. Because come on, we all watch this show, we have been sizing all of them up against each other, if Debojit was to stay..then he certainly would not have out of nowhere, all of a sudden get ther HIGHEST votes. That is not consistant at all with any of his past performances. So i feel that these were simply Sympathy Votes. I think as such a respected music prducer, Mr. Darbar at that point shouldve been fair and said something himself, that even if Debojit deserved to stay, he certainly did not deserve the Higest votes. I do not think there is a conspiracy going on here by the others to take Mr. D's team out, what happened to him last time was fair. Not all 4 can win. Only one person will win this, and at this point they are all amazing, but it will come down to the best of the best. Unfortunately, one person had to go and i think we will all agree that if we look at the overall talent, from the remaining 4 based on talent and consistancy, Debojit should be gone. This should be based on talent and talent alone, not emotional appeals. So whats fair is fair but i think that little stunt pulled by Mr. Darbar, messed up the fairness process and therefore i think it was overall right for the remaining 3 to take a stand about it. They all come from humble backgrounds, they all have worked very hard, they all have compelling stories that have touched all of our hearts, but we can only vote on talent, i think we should separate emotions from talent and do the right thing.

I think what you guys arent understanding is that when they say someone got for example 75% Votes from the NE, that DOESNT mean that person got 75% of the total votes. That means that out of HIS OWN total votes, 75% were from the NE. One more thing, when someone, gets lets say 2% votes from one place, 3% from another, and 2% from another and then 93% from where he/she is from...that shows inconsistancy, that overall people are voting for him/her based on regionality..this is not the elections, this is the Voice of India...the person with almost an equal average from most areas is clearly consistant and is getting votes based purely on talent, and not on theatrics like your mentor walking away and your wife giving an emotional speech. Please this is a talent show and only one will win. DEbojit shouldve gone before Neehira, and since he didnt..he may not be the worst singer ever, but compared to the remaining 3 he is the worst of the best...and whether people like it or not..the Best of the Best is going to win, which he certainly is not..those votes were purely sympathy votes and im glad the remaining 3 took a stand about it..after this...debojit should be gone and the voting system should be changed...or they should start all over again with the all 4 of them with a different system. Ismail D being such a respected producer as he is, should not have compromised the integrity of this show by throwing tantrums and trying to sway in votes based on public emotional appeals...those tactics should be reprimanded. For god sake, cmon for a second stop feeling sorry for each person's personal sob story and think...who deserved to go? Debojit or one of the other 3 remaining?..i think if youve been watching this show frm the beginning it comes down to common sense...him and Ismail D need to just accept it and move on that Debojit really doesnt have what it takes to be competing with those 3 especially after he his voice cracked in the middle of the performance. Thats why he got the low scoring from the mentors...its ridiculous for a music producer to think that kind of mistake is ok, when they have been yelling at them for the smallest mistakes. I think the proof is in the fact that lets say even if debojit deserved to stay, i think we can all agree, he did not deserve to be the Highest Voted for...this is not a sympathy contest its a talent contest.
