I don't blame Vinit coz I have never liked his singing nor I am a fan of him. But what really disappoints me is Hemuz walk out to protest against Debu getting max votes. It means he has no respect for audience votes. I want him to respect audience decision. He has forgotten that ter might be few people who r voting for Debu and to him also..

Did you all really think that you all were better than Nihira and Nihira was undeserving. Or you all were happy that someone more knowledgeable than their unethical mentors is out of their way.

So why did they walk out now because their so-called undeserving candidate got the highest votes or they are scared to the bone.

I was stunned by the audacity of that dwarf Vineet. How did he dare to call Debojit undeserving? Does he think he is the best singer there? And how did he get that idea: because his backboneless mentor who does not understand ABCD of music said so. Let me tell you one thing, you self destructing arrogant 17-year-old kid that in India Pandit Jasraj ji is the last word in music, and you have LOST to the same "so called undeserving" Debojit in SaReGaMaPa Fame 2005 just six months back. And that time public was not the judge, Pt. Jasraj ji was. SO DON'T YOU EVER DARE TO THINK THAT DEBU IS UNDESERVING. You will have to take two more births to perform the "Alaaps" and the "Sargams" that Debojit performed in the Qawali round. First learn to be a good human being and appreciate good music and talents, then claim that you are a good musician.

I always loved Himani's and Hemu's performance. Now I am ashamed to know that they followed Vineet too. I have few observations for you Hemu.

It is OKAY that your family spends 2 lac rupees on advertisement, but it's a CRIME when Debojit gets more votes than you. It is OKAY that you ask for votes in Telegu, but it's a CRIME when Debojit ask for votes in Assamese and Bengali.
1. Its OKAY that you get 40% of your votes from four states (AP, TN, Karnataka, and Kerala) from the southern part of India, but it's a CRIME when Debojit gets 70 % of his votes from seven states from the north east part of India. Where the rest of India is concerned both of you got pretty much the same percentage of votes.

I expected more class from you and Himani.

Call me Devil's Advocate but these are few things my friends that we need to think of before we vote the next time.

Let me answer you one by one.

1. Himesh is not his mentor why does he have to listen to him on something as unethical as this. If HR says him to quit the show today for Vineet, would he?

2. If it was due to dirty politics of HR, then why now. After the results of Debu are declared, you just decide to walk out.

3. If we read all the news it is evident that the main reason for the walk out was Debu getting more than 70% votes from his home state and the neighboring states. So evidently he hated that. That means Debu was not supposed to get those votes from his home state, because it was regionalism. While he requested his home state to vote for him. I believe people in Delhi or Assam don't understand Telegu.

4. A vote is a vote, no matter where it is coming from. It is not Debu's fault that his home state is supporting him, while the home states of other contestants did not.

I have tried to answer all your questions; hope that explains whatever I had written earlier was not baseless.

Thank you libra21. I just wrote what ever I felt.

We should not come to conclusions without knowing all the details.We know only half of the story and everyone is creating a story around it.
Why was not Vineet eliminated if he got the lowest votes?
why was Hemu or Himani asked to Quit?
Why were the audience in the set asked to vote between Hema and Himani when Vineet had to leave?
Is gharana more important than a singer and a true and deserved winner like Hema.
This whole show is manipulated and full of conspiracies.

I feel that Debo might win with sympathy votes,but Nihira and Hema are the Gems of SRGMP .

excellent post. Actually the Gang of 3 (two now?) n their mentors shld be kicked out for the very same reason they are crying about now- they could not even build a strong base in their home turf. Last time i remember that happened was Al Gore losing his home state of TN. Folks elsewhere in the world ASSUME that certain states will be red, others will be blue, and they are ok with that. You have to take all that and still find ways of winning. if u cant carry your own region, u dont deserve to win anyway.

also, debo getting 70 to 80% of his 41% means he still got around 10% from other regions. 40% of hema's 20% votes are from the south, leaving him with around 12% from other states. its not as lop-sided as Shaan and his crew make it out to be, at whose behest we can all guess.

zee blundered by broadcasting demographic aspects of the votes. next we know, they'll be announcing votes by religion, social/ economic/ educational status. Best way to create more mayhem and division.

finally, there is so much supply of new talent that whether any one likes it or not, most of these contestants will never make it big. when HR and AS go down, and they will as surely as night coming after day, they wont have anyone to ask for them. Maybe debo wont get any offers, but other than a short-lived career, i dont really expect VS to go anywhere either. i am sure those mentors have rubbed other people also the wrong way. someday they'll get their pound of flesh.

Finally people are getting to know the truth. Let me start saying that I know somewhat that has been going on and I support Debojit overall. I think all these 4 are good and am ok with anyone winning this contest.

Few point I would like to make:

1) the ULFA connection : its just a publicity stunt. Maybe the guy (Ashish, i know who he is) wanted to get into the headlines. Pls read his statement carefully. This is what happened. Last few weeks they were not counting all the votes Debojit was getting. The reliance logs in Guwahati has the exact details how many SMS votes have been made from Assam. And Debojit total votes from all over India (phone , sms , net) announced was lower than the num of SMS he got from Assam. People in Assam and Silchar are aware of this and so possible that one of the Debojit fan clubs .. there are quite a few ... they are local boys (sports clubs .. ) ... so looks like they called ashish and spoke to him about the injustice and the vote accounting topic... As reported by ashish, they were on the speaker phone and said they were from debojit fan club ... and towards the end .. one of them said .. he is from ulfa... this must be someone from behind just doing it for fun !! And this guy ashish and Zee thot lets get some publicity and report it. If ULFA calls up Zee they will not waste all the time and at the end talk abt supporting a singer in one of the many talent contests. Moreover Debojit is Bengali and ULFA is a terrorist orhanisation and theres no way ULFA will root for a bengali guy. So no threat and nothing ... these guys Hem, Vinit and Himani were instigated by AS and HR to do all this. They now know they cannot stop Debojit ... as hes getting huge number of votes. Actually prev only silchar was behind him but after AS openly insulted Assam in the sets quite a few times (censored) and HR too... the whole of Assam is supporting Debojit in a big way. If you see Himanis expressions in the round in which Nihira got out and only Nihira and Vinit were left... she was acting as if this is such a big injustice !!! So I am not too surprised at the walkout.

2) I do not understand why forumers say Gaj messed up when Nihira got out... what do u expect him to do... cook the results.. thats not fair. I think Nihira was the best singer and deserved to win ... but once rules are laid down ... they have to be followed .. public voting means you count the votes and declare the result. Yes you can stop public voting but presently if Nihira is out .. I feel sorry but theres nothing unfair from Gaj here.

3) Speaking of regional votes.. Debojit got the highest votes ... 42% !! Last week he got 7% from Delhi ... now ... 7% of 42% is around 3% of the total votes ... assuming total is 60lakhs... thats 1.8 lakh votes for Debojit from Delhi !! Its not that Debojit is not getting votes from mainland India ... fact is hes getting so many votes from North East .. and thats overshadowing the other votes. NE has 7 states... how many votes did Hem get from NE ... ??? Less than his 1% ... no one talks about that !! Is it Debu's fault that people from Assam love him and vote for him... is it Debu's fault that people from Lucknow do not vote for Vinit !!

4) I think the 3 walk out guys are very much influenced by their mentors and when they see their mentors voting less and sometimes praise them for no reason, they think they are better than Debojit. Also only Nihira and Debojit are from Mumbai and stayed outside.. rest all were at the hotels.... so they didnot bond well with nihira and debojit... and also they feel helpless when they see debojit getting so many votes. But this much of guts and audacity ... who are they .. Frankly I dont think Hem, Vinit, Himani and Debojit are out of the world singers.. they are good singers and there are lot of singers like that around. (Nihira is a class apart.) Its saregapama who made them whatever they are ... I am shocked at their audacity .. walk out !! Look at these guys ... they ask for votes from people .. none of it is free... people spend thir hard earned money to vote for them so that they are not eliminated ... and these 17 yr old WALK OUT !! 17 yr old is not too young and every person is responsible for what he/she is doing .. and I think even if it was a plan of someone else these three are responsible for their odd behavior. And how dare Vinit say that hes better than Debojit. Its not like Nihira is comparing herself with Rajeev. Debojit is a fellow contestant and who gives Vinit the right to decide and declare hes better and even walk out .. maybe becos these three do not need the title of Saregamapa ... AS has already recorded songs with Himani, Hem and Rajeev and Vinit has sung soooo many songs for HR... they dont need anything from Saregamapa. And moreover if they fail they can always go back to their parents shelter, go back to college/school and keep boasting about the songs they recorded. But Debojit is yet to be even offered a song.. and he has been struggling in Mumnai for past 3 yrs and doesnot even make enough to pay the rent and is getting his singing lesson from his Ustaad with a promise that he will pay him later !! Debojit needs the title ... and he deserves it as much as the other three does. And thats why Debojit will not walk out !! And thats why Debojit will keep fighting !

i absolutely refuse to beleive that Debo has ULFA backing.THis could be all drama staged by the other gharanas... the show has lost all its sanctity....and they say good singers are not available anymore....its so horrid

i agree with almost everything u said, except the point abt hema havin a prob with debu askin votes in his lang, juz seems baseless👎🏼. in fact of all the contestants i only found hema askin for votes in different langueages. in case u did not notice, he requested in languages other than telugu. hema cudn't care less if debu asked for votes in assamese bengali or chinese😛 sorry pal thts juz not a strong enough proof tp acuse hema of being regionally biased or promoting regionalism.
