Chick digme
Q for you..........
Theory is very good but it fails to explain Jl's total departure from scene, we know he is the most successful, senior musician....is it possible that some other factors also played role.......?
jmn's theory could be partially correct that only recently manipulation started, by then already JL's team had gone.......
your 2 cents please........
If I have to guess again, I would say that since public voting has begun only recently (after final 12 were decided) scope to assign weightage to differernt factors too has crept in at the same time.
The very reason public voting has started is because of TV ratings. If I am the lead organizer of a somewhat popular show and if I smell blood, I would try to rope in as many people as possible. How do I do that? By lettting public spread the word. What better way than to let the public participate. For example, Hema's fans will tell their freinds and their families to vote for Hema. Similarly Vinit's fans. And of course, there is the Regionalism factor in India which never fails to stir up passions.
Coming back to your question, if I sample this forum itself, not too many people actually liked JL. Again, I failed to understand that but that is besides the point. The point is, in a sample of 100 people, 80 people didn't like JL. Plus their performers (Sharib and Swananda) were neither here nor there in terms of popularity. Eliminations became scientific after that point.
Bottom line here is that the guy running the show is playing GOD. I wouldn't say it's rigged. I would say it's business.
