| They are younger than you expected, but their heads are firmly placed on their shoulders. Talking to them, you learn that the stuff dreams are made of true grit. Meet five of the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalists as they laugh (and of course sing) their way to success. * Vineet Singh: At 17, Vineet seems to be enjoying every minute of the fame. He hails from Lucknow and had to drop out of class 12 when the show beckoned him to glory. With big projects and playback offers in his kitty, he is not complaining. The show being just a few episodes away from declaring the winning couple, Vineet already has a lot to look forward to. He has done play back singing for Zayed Khan in Rocky opposite Sunidhi Chauhan, who is another talent hunt find. And yes, he loves to talk!
Probably the youngest of the finalists, Sharib is a shy 16 year old from Jaipur. Right out of class 10, Sharib had to drop out of school so that he could live his dream of becoming a singer. He has been staying in Mumbai for the past six months with all the other contestants, practicing day in and day out. He already has a dream offer, and this is as big as it can get- to sing with none other than Lata Mangeshkar in an upcoming film. He doesn't forget to remind you, "Sharib, 7575", prompting you to vote for him. His favourite past time? Listening to songs on Radio Mirchi! * Himani Kapoor: Seventeen-year-old Himani knows it all. She clarifies every doubt that you may have about the show. In short, she literally breathes the show. Hailing from Faridabad, hers is a success story already. She's lent her voice to none other than Sushmita Sen in the film Chingari and she also has a live performance tucked under her belt, scheduled for late November in Delhi. Vineet and Rajiv would join her for that concert. She is a great fan of Richa Sharma and her singing style is reflective of her inspiration. * Twinkle : Now here's a pretty good-looking singer for you! Besides Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Twinkle has an offer from Balaji Telefilms to cast her in one of their serials. She hails from Lucknow where she is pursuing her undergraduation in Arts. Though becoming a singer is her prime objective, she also has a back up plan of taking the civil services exam. Now that's a talented civil servant for you! * Rajiv: |
