Hi Folks,

Does anyone know about Ronkini Gupta? She won a Saregamapa contest perhaps last year. Also a guy called Hritikesh who won the same competition in the boys. Think this was held in Dubai.

I love Ronkini. She's my favorite contestant EVER...she tried out for II? and DIDN't make it? sheesh:(

I heard Hrishikesh singing some Bhajans on TV along with his fiancee.She is another Prajakta (not Shukre)who has won the megafinals in the Sonu Nigam days.

even pamila jain also became a famous singer [she sings mostly for bengali and hindi tv serials] she was 2nd runner in the mega final while winner was belashende.[a famous singer in marathi].

No Asha, Bela was the winner in the first megafinals where the runners up were Sudeshna Ganguly and Sanjeevini Belande.Mohammed Vakil won the male section.

Prajakta won a later megafinal.

Good to know Bela is doing well but has she sung for any movies???

Hrishikesh Ranade was in the US, around July 4th, as an invited guest, at one of the Indian conventions in Atlanta. I met him, and heard him, and his fiance,sing.He was trying to promote a CD of his new songs.

Both Prajakta & Hriskesh Ranade are excellent singers.

Hrishikesh and Prajakta are now married and are residents of Pune.(celebrities now)

Most of you such good memories about winners.Wow...made good reading.Thanks.
I liked all the singers you guys have mentioned.

Ronkini was a natural....she is going to come back for sure.

Hrishikesh and Bela Shende were invited to Atlanta for a convention. They were a big hit. Audience liked tham more than another famous singer (Suresh Wadkar) who was invited. I met them personally. Very sweet people.

Hrishikesh and Prajakta Joshi are married and give lots of performances in Pune. Bela Shende has started singing in Hindi movies now. Paheli being one of them.
