I would say they have Sufi touch more than Qawali touch ......RFAK is not true Qawali singer...Much more softer than NFAK....I like them both...I agree with Qwert on his last post ...

I have been listening to Rahat and Nusrat since i was 6 years old...
and have been following them since the last 13 and a half years now..
Because in India he got fame because of his bollywood songs...
But Rahat Saab is originally a qawal...When he sings qawali...
He uses a lot of vivadi surs....

a few examples....if u want the recordings of some of the great Qawwalis by him....i can upload them as well...he still does Qawali shows...This family has an unbroken tradition of singing qawalis since the last 600 YEARS....

nice links.. i didnt know he did this..his hindi songs have bordered on soft singing.. mellifluous nevertheless!!

HMMMMM.......there are many more wonderful qawalis sung by him...
Naina Thag Lenge is actually Rahat Saab's tune...Vishal Bhardwaj jst gave the music...
it is actually a hamd composed by him

Totally agree here. Kamal is the best, Khurram and Ali sher were very good, but I guess because they are Pakistanis, the writing was on the wall.

The two girl singers in my opinion will be elimated and the three guys will go into final/

😃 2 hell with janta? if janta's opinion is not important then why are all the contestants begging the janta to vote for them at the end of every episode? 😛 The difference between a bathroom singer and a professional singer is that the bathroom singer sings for his/her enjoyment and a professional singer sings for the enjoyment of others....if janta is not important, then why do people insist on singing in front of the janta? why don't they just sing in the privacy of their homes or in front of their friends and families?

😛 let's see you make Ali Sher in to a star without Janta's help......😃 janta jise pasand karti hein wohi star banta hein bacchu, koi bhi era gera aake star nahin ban jata......😊

PS -- Kamal and all the remaining contestants are miles ahead of Ali Sher that's why they are still in the show and he is NOT.........😃 on what level was Ali Sher better? did he get more votes from the public? did he get better comments from the judges? 😃 the answer to both questions is NO....the remaining contestants are all pretty evenly matched, Ali Sher was the last remaining weak link....😊

Ah one of my favourites. RFAK is one of my most favourite singers.
