There is an unofficial classifcation in bollywood to divide singers between mainstream and not so mainstream. Lata, Mohd rafi kishore kumar, have sung thousands of songs and have been considered in the mainstream.

There have been some not so mainstream voices which have given all kinds of wonderful songs. Some of these singers did not get their dues. Do you have any wonderful song (old or new)to share about these not so main stream singers. Which not so mainstream singers has been your favorite?

I don't know if you'd consider these songs gems.
But some of these singers are pretty underrated.

Suraj Jagan- Sadka from IHLS and Rang Daalien from Lafangey Parindey

Karthik- Behene De from Raavan, Bekha from Ghajini, I'm In Love from Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and some others. [cannot remember at the moment]

Javed Ali- Guzarish from Ghajini, Tum Mile [Love Reprise] from Tum Mile, Ranjha Ranjha from Raavan, Aa Jao O Meri Tammana from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Will post more if I remember.

Master Saleem- Teri Sajni [private album?], Mast Kalandar from Heyy Babyy, Maa Da Laadla from Dostana and a couple of remixes can't remember off the top of my head.

Shruti Pathak- Teri Sajni [same as above], Rasiya from Kurbaan, Tujhe Bhula Diya from Anjaana Anjaani, Aas Paas Khuda [Unplugged] from Anjaana Anjaani. She's really underrated and she has a LOT of talent!
