The song had poor audio quality. Otherwise, Kailash Kher sang pretty well. He put his classical training to display, and his voice control was just great throughout the song. The waves he put on his voice were also very good. And he definitely had the singing ability even then.

There were a couple of times it felt like he was shouting, but for the most part he was flawless and sung very good. When thinking of pure singers, Kailash Kher comes to mind. Right from the start, his voice echoing sequence was very good. I am stuck between deciding on 8 or 9. This was better than all of the 8s, and I'd say the ability he put on display just gets him to a 9.

Its a very nice composition, especially the fast paced background tones.
It may seem easy but once you listen to this unusual composition again and gain, kailash's unique talents of modulation and variation in scales come into picture. He takes immense control and correct timing of breath, which is this song's forte, to give a result of a very unique track. Its very difficult to sing, especially given the situation and the feel that he puts into it, but the result is just very good.

Not being a regular indipop listener, when I listened to this song, its the overall finer attention to detail like correct scale of singing, perfect pitching of sur and tonal quality that impressed.

The polish at the end could have been more tighter and some more eel, like 2-3 percent could have been added here and there, but overall, its a very nice and simple composition which brings pleasure to the listeners.

another song i am listening to for the first time.

his beginning pick up was really good! felt a lot of ease in his voice. the song itself wasn't as great, but kailash's singing was good. it was different and his higher notes were rather strong too. he sung it with so much ease. his singing wasn't as polished as it could have been. it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. IMO i think kailash has sung so many better songs. this one didn't impress me as much.

i think the most preferable sons is "piya re piya re" or his all time fav track "teri deewani" or "saiyyan"

I love this song. I can't rate it though, because NFAK's version is too well-settled in my head... I dont wanna compare Kailash to the Ustad.

Hmmm.. one of my recent discoveries of Kailash Kher, thanks to a great friend of mine here for bringing my attention towards this album of Kailash.. :)

The first thing notable is of course, the so well coordinated expressions of the singer along with the feel of the song.. Where he has to express the agony, he does so well and where he has to show a mellow side, he goes soft instantly.. Kailash's voice control is admirable, its amazing to know that he had such great polished potential from the start..

I would like to give an 8 out of 10..

This is an offbeat song. It kind of has an eerie feel to it. It's the kind of song that grows on you. But I think the impact of this song comes mainly from the composition -- it's predominantly a composer's song.

Kailash's voice suited the song, but I feel he didn't do anything special to increase its impact, could have done a little more variations. Nevertheless, just not ruining its soul is also commendable.
