Note: This was a song and album that took Kumar Sanu to new heights in 1990. He became known all over after this song. So great choice to match Round theme!

Ah, Kumar Sanu!😆 Well, I would say for his first song, it was pretty good! What I like about this person is that he is able to immerse himself completely into the song and has a good voicr quality. However, he sounds too much like Kishore Kumar, and he often skipped the tempo of the song, and I mean, a lot! Especially in the chorus, the most integral part of the song, where his nasality was evident, and he missed a beat or two. He later consolidated himself later on though. I'd like to give him a 7!

Kumar sanu has given many wonderful songs, this one isnt his best. There are parts in between wherein his voice sounds a bit nasal. I ll rate it a 8.

Nice singing.

A Kumar Sanu classic. The audio quaity isn't that great in this song either like the Sukhwinder Singh song. This song is also old.

Kumar Sanu sings this well. His low notes are well done, and he provides good feel throughout the song. But this song was relatively simple. Pretty straight-forward and a lot of repetition. The only challenging part were the non-main verses, which needed some high-low mixes that were well done.

I want to give this a 7.5, but I can't. Overall, good singing.

Choosing this song keeping in mind the theme and restrictions doesn't necessary mean choosing the best. Its like taking a risk and then letting audience decide what's good for them and whats not. but I hope that the former works in favour.

aashiqui's music is nothing ground breaking, its just typical 90s-simple and straight forward and to a certain extent, melodious.

Now same goes for this track. Its relatively easy to sing, yet as a first timer, he makes a great impression. the voice does sound inconsistent, but these minor flaws are overcome by superb harkats that he puts in the middle of the track. The musi, too is convectional and straight forward, just as the mood of te movie demands and kumar's voice carries forward the track to a positive listening experience. But the scale is just flat, there is no variation or modulation in voice that can be felt, though the tempo an be termed as good and consistent.

His voice is good but he has sang better tracks in the coming years, which I plan to put provided he sails through this round.

He deserves much better than the 8 he gets.

8/10.

Kumar ji is one amazing singer! He really has come a long way. Unfort he's not seen singing much these days due to some throat problems (so i heard)! This is such a beautiful composition. I'm hearing this song after a long time. Nice to hear it again! :)

He really put his heart and soul into the song, at least that's how I felt listening to it. Its a very beautiful track that really requires one to put their soul into the song, which Kumar ji did very well. I thought he was very strong in most parts, weak in others. But his sur, taal, raag were almost very good! His higher notes were strong in most parts. I felt that he could have put more variations in the song rather than singing kinda flat. Other than that it was a good attempt.

Final Rating: 7/10

Hmmm.. Not one of my favourites from Kumar Sanu.. But, still a popular track of its time indeed.. :)

Decent singing, though in some places here and there, he goes off the beat, plus a little lack of voice control is also evident.. Expressions are relatively good, could have been better, more heart-felt by lessening a little of the happy tone.. Delivery of words is somewhat monotonous, variations in that could have enhanced the overall feel of the song.. Relatively simple singing.. Overall, an okay performance..

My score would be 7 out of 10 for this..
