Was Fared hasan from 'India-Delhi' overqualified?

The best performance of SRGMP 2010 Auditions put together was Fared Hasan obvioulsy.

The way he introduced as being from India - Delhi.. The riaz he had done.. The confidence he had.. The way he performed a 'saral' song on Shekar's request
All abt this guy was great. Miles ahead of Sugandha, abilasha etc...

Dont know why i cud not find a single thread abt him here.. Or did i miss?

He has picked up quite a fan-following on Youtube. Just 5 minutes performance that too.. Indian audience denftly know when they see a real talent..👏

I am assuming he was silently chucked out with a "am not feeling well" story. ALtho he looked really sick that day.😕

If he had been there, all these singers wud have not got best performance awards till now 😉

Anyway I think he was overqualfied for SRGMP as these are just kids who r singing. If rumours were to be true he is a sishya of Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan? who is from Delhi Gharana.

Would love to see these ppl singing diffcult renditions in bolly songs like Lagan Laagi.. instead of importing singers, which looks as tho India has no one to perform.(No offence) Easy option .. see someone famous and book him rather than real LOCAL talent hunt 😭

Hope he is able to make it into Wild Card and wins the competition and start recording songs and albums soon.

He was good but I don't think he was any better than Sniti for example.

Edit: At first look. contestants like this can be impressive but eventually no one can determine consistency until they perform several times.

Yup.. totally agree.. Mugdha cud have done way better.. May be its the choice of song, proper riyaaz, the way the band plays, and no distractions like favourite guests... or some over excited ppl like Ranbir who looked like he was crocodile sneaking behind its prey (when Khurram was singing) 🤢

I guess a singer like Fared hasan coming back into show can bring a lot of much needed sanctity and quality back to the already half-raped show SRGMP.

DM is the only judge who looks to be sincere but even he is pulled into jashn like all Punjabis who love to perform happily.. I like it!

Sajid-Wajid were very good during Audtions . Shekar still looks serious and is the opposite of VIshal.

My guess for unexpected comments and insulting of certain contestants may be due to the reason pointed out by Vishal on twitter..
He feels ppl r taking bites at some singer/musicdirector/co-judge who they dislike by taking on the innocent contestant.

Most probably what you are saying is true but overqualified is taking things a bit overboard I think😊. To me, he seemed like he couldn't really sing simple songs. He probably would have made things more interesting but it's entirely possible he would have been disappointing as well.
