ID has given us a few gems. I don't like his personality - the way he comes across on t.v. - but we can't deny him the good songs he has given the industry. No matter how few and far between they may be.

RDB is one of my all-time faves, but if I find someone wrongly giving him credit for a dhun that I know isn't his, I'll share that info too with them. Yes, I know RDB and almost all Bolly MDs have got 'inspired' too easily. 😆

Plagiarism is chori, pure and simple. But if acknowledgment is given, I don't have any problem. Rather I'm all for taking music, that would otherwise have been unknown to us, from outside and adapting it to the taste of the people of another region and culture. Giving a tune a new flavour also requires musical talent, knowledge and expertise. But they have to make it clear when they are composing and when they are adapting.
