The rest of you are being too harsh about Rini. She has a very sweet voice, almost flute like in quality. Like there are deep, bass voices like Sunidhi, there are thin, high alto voices like Rini.

Actually she reminds me of Sanjivani, who had won Saregamapa, who later sang "Chori chori jab nazrein mili" in Kareeb. She had the same voice quality.

As for the Basanti act, she was visibly annoyed when the judges kept on calling her Basanti during the audition. I gave her thumbs up her for shutting them up when she started singing and they were interrupting with annoying Waah waahs! 😆
I think now shes been advised by Zee to keep up the Basanti act for entertainment value and shes just playing along. I feel Zee and most channels are unfair and biased against NRI singers. They are labelled as NRIs not regular contestants from the beginning and get a raw deal, like that boy from Australia, he wasnt that bad either.

She is waaayyyy better than Asma, please dont compare the two! Asma was a complete joke, who couldnt speak or sing Hindi properly!
Rini sings golden oldies with greater ease than any of the pure Bharatiya singers!

Agree with you, people are too harshe here. No comparision with Asma and she was even better than lot of singers today. She has sweet voice and she brought the required feel of song. I dont mind when she says her long story behind everything genuinely but the fake one. Daily dose of Basanti is not required, it will work occasionally

But I would suggest that instead of saying bad things about a contestant you don't like, why not say good things about a contestant that you actually do like 😃

This is just a suggestion guys, don't you all start telling me that everyone has their own opinions. You all obviously have your opinions on Rini and so do I.

But then what I have said in bold in true and I hope you all take that suggestion into account! Still, I'm not telling anyone what to do, don't get me wrong here!

Ah she is a nice breath of fresh air. so far she is the best overseas talent outside of India and Pakistan.

Also she is the favourite of our Cutie so definitely I will support her.😆

But as Indra ji pointed out singing is serious business and full concentration is needed as competition gets keener.

Nothing wrong Indra ji, I am sure no one takes this competition seriously, Zee has always been up to all kinds of tricks. Judges too have to comply unfortunately.

Two serious singers are Sniti and Ranjeet, but these days serious singers do not last till the end.

I wish these two all the best and hope they do not get discouraged.
