When you are bad in your own genre , versatility is a waste of time.

I believe one should specialize and be perfect in one thing.

A general handyman will never get anywhere.

Well said summerji.For me its a plus point if the singer is versatile but if the person is really good in one genre then he/she should showcase more of his talent in that genre perfectly.....I am fine if Ranjeet's sings in one genre since i love ghazal.....I just want singer's consistency and great performance every week.As long the singer's singing touched my heart that is what mattered most for me andof course with good singing.

Perhaps Ashray ji is looking for another Rafi Sahab. But that would be pretty difficult I think.
