Never heard this song before. Without googling my best guess is...umm.. RD Burman. But obviously, it's not. Is that "something" you're playing any instrument?? 😊

No less than Manohari da (right hand of RD Burman) has arranged the orchestra and played Tormbone. Those days there was an element of novelty and musicians never criticised the rivals openly. The music director on album cover is Kalyan ji Anand ji.

😲 hmm they should have given credit to Manohari da at least ... no wonder it doesn't sound Kalyan ji Anand ji's style, but I like the music and he is really the right hand of RD Burman 👏

Googly 😆 yea i better stick to the thread 😳 🤗

ARREY aise kitne gaane hai..baithe to 100s me honge. The song I posted earlier ye gori karari kawari nazar (samundar music bY R D Burman) has GUITAR RIFF (listen to last 20 bars carefully) composed by Bhanu Gupta , guitarist of Pancham.

Culture of giving due credit to part time composer/instrumentalist was ushered in by A R Rahman in 90s.

This film (Drohi; had music by RD Burman and M M Kreem), listen to this song (in raag Shivranjini)

So I got near. There was some RD flavour.

BTW, how can this be, sur kisi ka aur naam kisi ka?! 😕

yea ID you are right about how frequent such things happen but it's good to give credit....no matter how small the contribution was and besides without such contribution the song wouldnt even exist !! Like those last 20 bars you talked about, if those didn't exist the song wouldn't have sound as nice, maybe for some it's just a matter of 20 bars but on a whole the song wouldn't be complete.

aur is hisaab se to 80s mein koi acha song banana hi bahut baadi baat thi ....
