<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Do not know if any one would be interested in the music of Chashmebudoor. A legendary comedy of 80s had songs which sound fresh & melodious even today. The surprising part is that all the songs of this film are based on thaat Kafi;

I like "Kahan Se Aye Badra". But 🤔 isn't it on Megh raag? I'm no expert, never went to any gurus or received any kind of training, but I somehow manage to identify a few basic raagas. 😳

Are you thinking of more general topics, like songs of a particular mood or season?

Dear mg; raag megh is from thaat kafi, you would observe many similarities between songs I have posted. I am not trained either, just try to identify by ear. But I do play a few instruments.

Oh, you've already read it! I logged in just to edit that post of mine. I wasn't attentive enough to see that you wrote thaat Kafi, and not raag Kafi. Now that I can't edit it, I want to say sorry about that. 😊

Thanks for liking simi1
Well the first one was essentially a chord based song plus poor audio quality but the other two straight hit the heart.
Pls listen to the other song by the same musician (Rajkamal; passed away in 2005), here the antara dips in yaman kalyan (IN golden voice of Yesudas)

The first song has so much of energy I wonder how many takes must have been done.
