I am glad Ranjeet is back to ghazals. There is a danger of elimination if he ventures too far like in previous week. He must try to be top 5 at least. Pl ghazal lovers vote for our Ghazal Babu.
I will later post his ghazals.

I love the variations he adds in very naturally.
Special techniques which he keeps improving.

I do not know why they are over-hyping. I think that judges can not sing ghazals, that is why they have to praise this poor singer.

There are many ways of singing and improvising and a master can do it artfully.
I think so long as it is well executed and sounds good it is fine.
Paaji is a very good and trained ghazal singer by the way. He gave us a sample during the audition with Ranjeet.

I think overall he sings ghazals very well. The thing is that he is still young and tries to do a bit too much to impress the audience and judges. In the process, he screws up the lyrics at times and misses out on sur. He has the promise and with maturity, he has the potential to become a leading ghazal singer. His voice is suited for ghazals and ONLY for ghazals.
His continued presence in SRGMP remains a mystery, though, given his total lack of variety. I stress on 'TOTAL LACK of Variety'. There have been singers on SRGMP who have not been comfortable with certain types of songs, but I haven't seen a singer who has just sung 1 type of song throughout the competition.
Not withstanding these comments, I do enjoy his ghazals and feel that he does have a bright future there.
