Nihira - Not fair to contestants - Page 2

You could be right but I think you have forgotten about Abhijeet who was also participated Sa Re Ga Ma and won so many times I think 10 times...

So this is not point to do any discussion on it whose participate is fair or unfair. Who has got talented would come out whether s/he had participated any show or programme or not...

With all the other 9 contestents having no such solid experience Nihira's participation in this event has been unfair to them.

If I remember correctly, I think Shreya Ghoshal participated twice in SaReGaMa. The results have not been too bad, have they?
I don't think the distance between Nihira and the other contestants is that great. She is better than the rest but its not like the others are chalk and she is cheese. The competition is still fair.
There was one Mohammad Vakil in the earlier Saregama...who I thought was a phenomenal singer...he would have run over any professional singer. But I never thought that the competition was unfair even then. I was happy that a good singer came to the fore. For me, I like to think of SaReGaMaPa as a platform for good budding singers than a competition.

every day a new anti nihra post😕.i think new ones are waiting in pipeline to be sent out . there are no two opinions about her singing talent-so people are busy finding new excuses.rahul saxena and arpita mukherji are srgmp winners,but people didnt vote for them.REX and abhijit have been part of troupes so does that mean they shouldnt be seen/heard on tv?

good singers make a good show all three popular shows have/had atleast 1 great talent.II-amit sana,FG-arijit singh,srgmp-nihira.we can debate for hours but learned judges have already given their verdicts,they as i said have no 2opinions about their obvious talent.😊

you are right to a point as others haven't had as much experience as Nihira, so they are not exactly at the same level.

but, tell me one thing...

does nihira have as much experience as alka yagnik? did shreya ghosal have as much experience as kavita krishnamurthy?

the answer is NO.

the point is that even outside of SRGMP, there will be competition. in fact, it will be even more tough out there.

if a contestant can't face upto Nihira, because she is "experienced", how will they be able to face upto Shreya, Alka, Sunidhi?

a good contestant would be able to face upto the challenge that Nihira poses and do better than her.

I agree with pretty much everyone who posted here. I almost laughed after reading this. What did you expect the mentors to say during selection time? "No, I'm sorry, but we feel you are too good to participate in this competition, therefore we are not going to give you a chance. We strongly feel that the other singers who are not as good as you should be allowed to pursue their careers instead of you. Thanks!" I can't believe people are arguing this point. Only the best move on, it is a fact of nature. I think that "dhin tanak tin dhin dhin da" can hardly count as a big break in that Bunty aur Babli song, and Nihira has every right to pursue her career, especially because she is so good.

first of all - i think the organizers might have laid some eligibility rules for contestants, which are same for evernone, so i guess it should be ok.

about nihira - i think she is too full of herself. atleast she acts like that at times.

about nihira winning - sorry guys, this show is not anymore about real singing talent. as everyone from the contestants, to shaan to the mentors have started talking about anc contentrating on "performance" and that is her weak part.

i really hate the way they have changed the pattern - just to match fame gurukul and indian idol with all the drama and artificial dialogues from the mentors. i think if it goes like this in girls himani/nihira and in guys paresh/vineet might win.

Hey but I think Nihira and Himani ARE the BEST amongst the girls and Vineet is one of the best too. So nothing wrong with them winning. In fact I would say they winning would be the best decision made by the janta.

I think that she's handling herself pretty well in the situation she is in. I mean, if people sang laudatory praises of you and told everyone else how much they sucked, there really isn't much you could do about it, right? I think the main fault here is with the mentors. They are either berating the contestants as if they are personally offended at their performance, or reciting poetry resonating how their song affected their very being. Sometimes they do both things to the same contestant. I think it's disgusting.

Anyway, this isn't supposed to be a rant on my personal dislike of all the mentors. The point is, all of the singers are good, and I think that it is our job to vote for the person we think is the best and most deserving, and not based on what their personalities may appear to be, right?
