Viswaas seems to be the only deserving candidate to miss out. Otherwise the final selection seems to be good. Vishaas instead of Rajeev would have made perfect final 12.

As many others have also pointed in this thread and elsewhere in this forum, the public voting is a total disaster for a show of high repute like SRGMP. I am extremely disappointed and feel kind of deceived. This is no way to come to the final stage of this great show (not anymore).
I am particularly upset with the % of vote Paresh has managed and if things go this way am sure that he will win eventually! I am not against Paresh in person but to think that he will become winner, causes me feel very disturbed. Paresh kind of singers are in hundreds in Toronto alone and am sure in other places outside India too who speak Hinglish and twisted Hindi with an accent. We call them in private functions and gatherings in banquet halls to sing a few songs and they are even better "performer"! I do not think he is any extra-ordinary. In fact I have a colleague in my office who is white and raised here, a big fan of Indian music and particularly Pt. Jasraj and likes. wonder if he goes to such show then what will be his chance!
But that is the way Indian people are. What is considered poor people's meal here becomes a status symbol in India in the name of McDonald or Pizza! No wonder they are after a person like Paresh in the same way! It also explains why in late 80s and early 90s we were hearing the worst music in the movies with direct lifts from western chart numbers. May God bless SRGMP and Indian music lovers.

Hey Guys, here is another idea to make it more equitable. Let audience vote count for 50% and have Hariji and Shivji come back as judges, and give marks out of 50.Let's say Paresh gets 50% vote from the people and 30 marks from the judges. Then his total would be 30 plus 25[50% of 50] ,i.e. 55 and so on.

I am sorry this is second time I disagree with you on some thing. I agree with you on first 2 paragraphs. I disagree with your last paragraph comments. First of all you should have written people in India . I live in US but I am still a Indian. Second of all do you believe all the 30% votes Paresh got are from India. I am doubtful people in India have that luxary to vote so I believe atleast 20% to 25% of those votes are from UK, US or other countries.

Hey no hard feelings in life, disagree with me as many times as you want! But do not disagree just for disagreeing sake!

Anyway, I do not think people outside India have voted. There wee many discussions on that in this forum as how to vote from outside India and the answer given by some people was that ask your friends or relatives in India to vote on your behalf. I do not know how you came out with 20% or 25% figures of voting from outside India. Did you vote? I did not and I could not.
