Thanks for replying. I never knew about this singer but seems like he had the potential to be a great singer. It is so unfortunate that good singers are lost without being picked up by our industry. May be the channels can come up with a show called The Lost Singers with
great Potential and bring back these guys.

It would b great if somebody comes up with such shows... but everybody is in money making business, so they wont do it.

Lately music directors started singing all the songs from their album... so it'll b more difficult for the strugglers....!!!

Unfortunately every good singer can't make it big in bollywood. Almost everyone who comes on SRGM(P) is a great singer. That's why I think they should all try other things like private albums and non-film music should be publicized more in India.

Thanks for the video. C05 ki yaadein taza ho gayeen. Nanu sang some of my favourite songs of HR-Sonu duo there. HR looked so different. Those were the days when I was his fan. 😆

Shehzaadi, you are very right but the good singers are not that common and there is no trace of these singers from these shows. Your idea of albums and non-film music would be the best way to bring these talented singers to music lovers of the world.😊

something old I found off the web...About Nanu Gurjar...
Wednesday, Aug 02, 2006 The Hindu Indias new paper...
Rafi remembered Kozhikode absolutely adores Mohammed Rafi. The huge crowds that turn up for the Rafi night that KALA (Kozhikode Art Lovers' Association) conducts every year on July 31, the death anniversary of India's most popular singer ever, are a proof of that. Monday night was no exception, as Tagore Theatre struggled to accommodate the Rafi fans in the city. Mukesh Bhanushali, Nanu Gurjar and Lata Shukla, three young singers from Mumbai, rendered some of the timeless classics by Rafi. They were joined on the stage by Thanveer, Faseela Sakir Hussain and Aromal, the prize winners of the music competition (for singing Rafi's songs) conducted by KALA. "We have been conducting this competition and the Rafi night regularly for the last 11 years," said KALA vice-president K. Zubair. "And we are always overwhelmed by the response from the people of Kozhikode." On Monday night, the singers from Mumbai presented 30 songs. Also impressive were little Aromal's rendition of Tujh ko pukare... and Thanveer's Babul ki duwayen... , both from Neel Kamal.

Thanks Dabulls and Summer, I remember watching 05 SGMP but never noticed him. I am glad I didn't because I would have been heart broken to see a good singer go. The other singer I miss is Rokini Gupta, I wonder what she is doing.
