koi baat nahin di, hota hai...but I know for sure that Sonu was the first host and the show started in 95. He was also active in the creative process. I remember him saying in some interview that he had come to a playback singer special in Antakshari and then met Gajji and they came up with the idea of the show together. He chose the name "sargam" but the final name was "sa re ga ma"...if you watch the first episode, he still says sargam (lol...he's too cute 😆) Amaan and Ayaan hosted after Sonu and before Shaan. I missed that part completely.

As you said, it doesn't matter...the point is that we love this show (or at least...used to love it). Completely agree with you on Gajji. However he is now, we can't forget what he has given us in the past.
