But before you bestow greatness on any of these people, please visit the itwofs.com website and find out yourself about the blatant lifting of tunes by these supposed Indian "greats". You will have a change of heart, trust me.

i am an itwofs rat 😛 fyi

yeah but most of my fav songs except for koi mil gaya , aur kya, and i'm the best were not lifted.

and lalit himself said that it irritates them when a director hands them a cd and asks them to make something like this.then again , lalit is a cunning fellow, so i doubt he's telling the truth, but most songs that are lifted arent that good... this is the opposite for pritam who well, has lifted almost every hit of his 🤣

the other copycats were:
shankar jaikishan
laxmi pyare
anu - duuuuuuuuuuuuh
pritam - duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
nadeem shravan
sd burman
rd burman
kalyanji anandji

Don't get me wrong.. I like Janit Lalit specially the song "Tere hath me' from Fanaah but I like Rehman more, don't know why but his songs (not all though) appeals to me more n so that no other songs did. Some of his songs are out of this world I can say, May be his music is more western or more sofiana, I am a novice to comment on that part but all I can say is that his music makes me sense the hidden beauty out there, its so amazing that listening some of his romatic songs, I feel closer to the God.😊

i feel closer to god when i hear one song. weird thing is thats its from roshan, hrithik's grandpa.😆

eggjhactly what I wanted to say. and you know what I don't even count aur kya in it because it's just a small interlude that was the same as I'm the best. the main song is completely original (and very beautiful)

Before we embark further on plagiarism it is imprtant we differentiate between plagiarism, genuine inspiration and blatant copying. The last is pretty clear and one such example is pritam's zara zara kiss me for race from a Taiwani music. I do think that is not very pleasant. But coming to inspirations like back street boys crazy vs ARR's o humdum suniyo re (saathiya) or kelele vs parkathey (where ARR has fitted lyrics on raag deshkar while initial 3 bars are same and what a lovely bassing, I would let any one go for such an experiment. Similarly michael learns to rock ( I am no actor) vs jaane na kaha from Jane tu...again from ARR's house are posted at few sites as copying but they are actually soft rock ballads with similar arrangements hence sound same.

Similarly R D Burman chura liya hai has inspiration from its tuesday, very beautiful extrapolation of few chords or simply two chords from gods of war to aa dekhe zara

or o maria vs mamoniya (Beatles), listen to them they are vastly different, we shouldn't run down some one's creativity and efforts for something posted some where, regarding itwofs let's remember the owner himself has disclaimed he doesn't have sufficient knowledge about music and the postings are not entirely his.

When a composer is writting notation he may actually not remember why he is writting particular bars or whyare they in his mind there.

I at times feel what if nearly 400 raagas were patented we never would have got so many beautiful songs from 60s till now. After all the songs based on raaga also sound very similar.
