i can not agree more with NYHERO... irrespective of whether JL's reaction was right or wrong, the fact definitely is that the judges made wrong decision on day one by not selecting himani and debojit.. they definitely were much better on any day over twinkle and rajiv.. and perhaps over abhijit and sanchali too..

but then abhijit was better than rajiv.. so out of debu, abhijit and rajiv, debu and abhijit should have been selected..

and then sanchali and twinkle would have been a much better and even contest than sanchali and himani..

my only regret is sanchali and abhijit both had very strong classical base so they were kind of more complete singers.. and both are now out..

about judges i think at such a high performance level, they really need very highly qualified judges who can really differentiate between minute and finer details.. and only those big pandits can do that...

there is no point having judges like sanu or even daler or lyricist samir for that matter..in each episode at least one judge should be a big pandit..

well these are just my opinions..

JL made a comment. He said these decisions (either right or wrong) can make/break careers of some of the upcoming singers. Look at the Indian Idol singers. Some of them released private albums and have become celebrities. So, I dont think it is completely right to keep the mouth shut when a decision is made.

I personally think Abhijeet sang better than Debo. I am sure his mother's health is showing impact on his singing. I have watched Abhijeet in some previous episodes of SRGMP and he is excellent.

I do not agree with people who are saying Abhijeet sang better than debo. People who think if Abhijeet is that good what is he doing in challege 2005 when he already won more than 11 times in sa re ga ma pa before. He should have already got a break and should be in film industry singing. I will tell you why he have not. No doubt he is very good on sur but I wish he had voice of hemachandra. He had a voice of Rajeev. People his voice is soft, too soft. He does not sound like men where u can say loin is roaring or thunder in a cloud. He cannot bring a feel of Kishore in Kishore's song. Remember here he sang Kishore song if he was not JL's contestant they would have mentioned that. Now let us go to Rafi's song he cannot even bring Rafi's feel to song. What I mean i he have no verstality. That is why he felt so vincible in this competition. Now u people will say why he have to copy agree he do not have to copy but his voice do not have that magic or magnet either where you can say WAH RE KYA AWAZ HAI.

I think the seeing the arguments the judges have , i definately think that they shouldnt have judges like daler mehendi and kumar sanu . They need to have more experienced judges. Another thing i want to point out is that si thought sanchali sung the first song extremely well and there may have been a very little difference in points between her and himani , but when she was given the red card she accepted it with a smile on her face . If she accpeted it that way jatin- lalit should have accepted it the same way . Between debo and abhijeet , debojit definately sang really well. Althought i thought kumar sanu as the judge was a wrong call .. just like daler mendi was a wrong call !!

He won 11 consecutive episodes, because there was more than one criteria for judging the winner. In Challenge 2005, you only have one or two rounds to make or break. As for the break part of it, for umpteenth time, he has teamed up with Luois Bank for Bollywood and music album projects. So there you go. He is a force to reckon and he was plain unlucky.

He is record holder on that and no one is taking away from him that. But you are saying criteria was different or there was more than one criteria Okay then why did he lost in POPULAR CHOICE in preliminary rounds. Creteria in POPULAR CHOICE was exact same as when he won those 11 episodes. He lost because his VOICE is his WORST enemy, dude. Even though it seems he have done lot of riaaz and he is paakka on sur. Coming back to break If he is working on some music albums it is good for him and I wish him best of luck. But I do not think YE LADKA MUSIC INDUSTY MAIN TEHYLKA MACHA SAKATA HAI. But on the other hand if Vaneet (sorry if spelled wrong), Hemachandra and Rajiv can do that, if they can become paaka on sur and do as much riaaz like Abhijeet they will make some sound in music industry.

Afterall, Indian population seems to like Besura singers. We have the greatest example in Qazi Tauqeer in Fame Gurukul. If Qazi is a singer, I am Einstein 😃

I beg to diifer with the most people. Lalit was upset like many of us with judges because of their previous days judgement when Rajeev was given the green card. The fact is that Jatin-Lalit understand qulaity music more than Kumar Sanu to whom dil se gaana is more important than sur and taal. The dropouts Sanchari and Abhijeet sang much better than the green card holders Twinkle and Rajeev. I bet all the mentors know that in their hearts, it was Lait who vented. While Sa re ga ma as a program is GREAT, some of the recent judges are pretty ordinary and there is no consistency in judgement criteria between episodes.

Debojit and HImani should have won green cards in first shot and then Abhijeet was better than Rajeev. Sanchari could have given Twinkle a good fight.

Kumar Sanu and Khayyam were ridiculous. To those who understand music, Their judgement made a mockery of quality.

Even Jagjit Singh complimented Abhijeet saying maybe he (Jagjit ) could learn something from Abhijeet. Kumar Sanu does not deserve to be a judge.

I agree with you music99 completely. I am not justifying Adesh's or Lalit's behavior but I fully understand their outbursts. The decisions in the third round of third phase were totally wrong and completely ridiculous. Lalit knows much more about music than Kumar Sanu.

Kumar Sanu is nowhere in the strature compared to J-L. So obviously Lalit had hard time accepting decision from him. SRGMP should make sure that they only call those people for judging who command high respect from the mentors -- like Pt. Jasraj, Shiv-ji, Hari-ji. Only then the mentors will have some confidence in their (judges) decisions.
