I am so happy that Zee introduced her to SRGMP at the national level so that everyone will come to know her and she will get well deserved recognition... Just my two cents... 😃

As I said Vaishali all the way - no arguments here.

I hope Vaishali wins....it's high time a non-glam talented female singer of the Nihira genre won a reality show

What about the Rock Steady "Yashita Yaspal"
She is not so accomplished as Vaishali or Soumen
but has a nice voice quality.
Question: which is more important voice quality or skill.
Normally skill overrides voice quality I think.

The answer to your question depends on whether you are talking about playback singing or stage shows. In shows like Saregamapa skill is important, but for playback singing(in a studio with modern equipments capable of correcting sur and other technicalities) voice quality is definitely more important.

The contestant who is most likely to make it big at the professional level is Yashita. Her voice is best suited for the modern day actresses as the mentors have been mentioning. She is lively and glamourous and is a good performer. I don't mean to be rude, but she will look a lot better if she can get rid of her excess fat.

However, Saregamapa is a singing competition and judging by singing skills and versatility, other contestants (Vaishali and Soumen) are superior to Yashita. I wish well for Yashita but at the same time, she does not deserve to be the winner in this competition not because she is bad, but because the other competitiors are better than her.

I still believe Vaishali is going to emerge as victorious.

Everyone will look good if something can be covered up or changed in their appearance! I didnt know all the modern day actresses only do rap and semi-western songs on the screen! There are enough singers for those type of songs already, why add one more? We need singers with sur and taal who can sing any kind of song, and Vaishali is the best. She has very good voice quality too and she can sing the dance numbers for the modern movies as well... I agree completely with the second part with you!! 😃

You took my words Rani - don't have to add any thing to it.
