But there is one way where these three combine together reach your soul. Reach millions of souls. Than all the three are made for each other. You cannot think about one less than others. Just my 2 cents..

Well I said that earlier but was shot down by Cal-gal for sitting on the fence.😆

For a change, I thought I should post something music-related. I hope this inspires other musical posts.
Its 1AM and I need to wake up at 5AM -- I have my organic chemistry final exam tomorrow. 🤢 But I see a lot of begging to see some worthwhile topics --- so here it is. Again, its 1AM so if I'm not coherent --- I'm sorry.

A song has many components, ie -- the singer, the composer, the lyricist.

Out of these three main components, who do you think contributes the most to the song?

Now, yes, I know that all three are like man and woman --- one can't live without the other (yes, I am mocking the several gender-related topics in the section right now 😛). But is one's role a little more significant than the others?

Some thoughts to get the discussion started:
-With no singer, a composer just has a tune --- can a tune touch your heart?
-Without a singer or composer, a lyricist just has words --- are words enough?
-Because the music industry revolves so heavily around Bollywood, is their a limit on the genres that Bollywood music provides? If so --- how? And which ones?

I know the topic somehow managed to convey too many different ideas in one post, but that's just food for thought --- discuss whichever aspects you feel strongly about.

G'night!😃

-Your Ajnabee Gal.

4 a change a gud topic. its difficult 2 pinpoint any 1 particular of the 3 components. all there r equally important but the chosen one states tht tune is a little more important😊.

the reason being. now wht is the difference b/w a song n poetry. while one is sung by the singer the other is read by the poet. so without the tune u cannot call it a song but its poetry. but a tune without lyrics is still an istrumental song.

Okay, I agree with all of you ... its hard to pinpoint one. Musical instruments are also very soothing.

What about the Genres in Bollywood Music? Because the music industry in India is linked with Bollywood movies --- do you feel that we are losing a lot of genres of music found in other parts of the world?

Good topic!!
Hard to say So confused... actually all three have the same priority, but
I think, Music comes first, then singer and then lyrics...
An incident related to this is when Asha Bhosale andGulzar got awards for "Mera kucchh samaan" from Izaazat. Music dir, the great RD Burman was not given any awards for the music. Asha Ji was very hurt and angry due to this and had said that Music ke bina I could not have sung it so beautifully and the lyrics would not have come out so well.
Also in todays's world tunes are made first and then lyrics are penned to suite the music. So ya, I think Music, singer, Lyrics....

Wait, what? Did I ask you what kind of guy I should be with? Or wait, Are you telling me what kind of guy you want?😉
Hmm, looks like Dostana really is influencing viewers. Shame.

P.S. A word of advice: In order to be a player, girls gotta like you first. And you're not setting a very good impression. 😉
