A new saregamapa seems to be emerging before our eyes. Sunwinder Singh was lovingly called as chalu by Asha ji but seems like every thing is chalu in this program.Can you trust the Judges and their Judgements. Do you feel most of the things are scripted. Do you feel some contestants are acting weird ? What is your perception of the current edition of saregamapa..

I agree with you 100%. Saregamapa is a highly chaalu competition. The way mediocre singers continue to prevail over better ones shows that the program has drifted from its very theme of "singing competion", obviously because of commercial interests! I have been shouting hoarse on this issue in several of my posts.

All Indian reality based show be it singing or dancing all are chalu shows...

Only show has some true talent and credibility is Boogie Woogie...

thats becoz its abt dancing and not singing..
singing is a gift
dancing altho u need a bit of flair, u dont need to be gifted to be decent dancers.
but singing is a combo of talent and skill, which many ppl lack, so they dance isntead..
in boogie woogie bad dancers cant run to singing ...
but yeah, the judges are sensible.

Talking of Challu, Survinder was my Favourite. "Singh is King" SRGMP strike is due to poor judging and eliminating my cute King.

I feel they should maintain some credibility more so since it is the oldest singing competition. They ought to lead the race. All the cheap stuff seems not helped with commercial interests.
