The existance of ASMA in Saragamapa remains a mystery:
1. When the program started, her singing was absolutely pathetic. In fact, there were several singers better than her who deserved re-entry via Brahmastra. That did not happen. Asma by hook or BY CROOK, managed to get in. How did that happen? Did he really manage to get sufficient votes? I simply don't believe so. Even if the voting is open world wide, majority of the votes will come from Indian voters. And inspite of Asma's nautanki, I don't believe that Indian voters will so overwhelmingly vote for her. Even if all the voters from Oman were to vote for Asma, I do not think she can get sufficient votes to outnumber the other votes.
In all, Zee TV is not 100% honest about this SMS voting and I the rules have been ignored for selected participants. Asma re-entered the program and has remained in the show because of this corrupt practice.
Next question is who favoured Asma and why? My guess is that Asma's father or near relatives are influencial in Zee's management and are perhaps key to Zee's business in Oman or the middle east and under their influence, Zee TV are compelled to bend the rules to keep Asma in the show.
Additionally, I believe the mentors have been paid huge incentives not just to soft peddle on Asma's deficiencies, but to reap unreasonable praises on her even when it is obvious that she does not deserve them ("History! History! History!???).
True Asma has subsequently improved, but this is a competition. If Asma was given so much opportunity to improve, why were the other participants denied the same?
Zee TV and the mentors are largely to blame for this injustice (on other better singers who have had to leave the show), but Asma also has her hands tainted because without her convinnance, this manouvering would not have happened. It is perfectly ok if Asma has to bear some wrath.
