I see. It can be a little disheartening if your fav doesn't win but, we were talking about Aneek vs singers of c 2009 not his winning last year. :)

I think in public voting Regionalism always creeps in. I think Raja was expected to win as he had been leading most of the time. Amanat was disadvantaged if Regionalism is a factor.

I have always marvelled the Bengal Voting Machine.

This year we have 2 from Kolkatta left, Soumen and Debo. Whoever reaches the top 3 will have an advantage unless both reach the finals.

It never mattered to me who among the top 3 won.

Poonam was also very good but being a lady she was disadvantaged unfortunately.

I am getting confused and forgetting about the topic of this forum. As I read the topic, it is on Aneek being a versatile singer and not about our favorites. May be some of you saying the reason Aneek won was because of only bengal, and no other region voted for him because of lack of talent. Do all these people have any proof. One of the member talking about bengali song not being liked. There are hundreds of songs translated into hindi and they became super hit. If you are from Pakistan you probably don't know that, in India we have songs translated into hindi songs from many regions. Insulting bengalis or any other region wont make a difference, so next time all you have to do is not log into the site posted for a reason.

It is a known fact that most viewers are voting along the regional lines. I just stated that Aneek won because of Bengali votes..where is the insult to Bengalis. Why are you so hyped up if somebody doesn't like your favorite singers singing. You seem to be making your own convoluted interpretations based on your mindset and then sprewing filth. Your thinking is reflection of your hate towards others. By your abuses you are trying to shut up the truth that most voting was done on regional lines and is the over riding reason Aneek won.

You should request SRGMPA team not to announce singers race or region on the the show, and let the best one win.

April, there is a difference between announcing or making a statement about a person's race and making racist comments. Saying someone is Bengali (as the "srgmp team" does and then saying people only voted for Aneek because he is Bengali (as you have said) is different. Let's not blaim srgmp or anyone else for your tendancies, please. You aren't insulting any forum member or even Aneek himself with those comments. People just question your integrity: have you heard of "music has no boundaries?"

Well I already had said that people like you deserve this. And I am not getting angry with you, coming up with an original one (even for abuse) is so much beyond you.

I accepted the format of this show. that is why I am watching it. It seems you have some problems, then why do not you go and talk to them? Or even better try not to watch at least. Bengalis voted for aneek/ rajasthanis voted for raja, where is the difference?If raja would have have won it would have been for the votes of rajasthanis. that WAS the format. You are a born looser because you do not know how to loose.

And I am well aware of what a looser like you thinks. Now I even wonder if you carry anything called a head...

I am bengali myself. As For Aneek I think he is definitely good. But again I was really expecting Raja or Amanat to win. Prayed for Amanat but expected Raja to be the winner.

It's wrong to deny that regionalism was a huge factor. I know tons of aunties who voted for Aneek just for the fact he is a bengali. I am not denying he is good singer but I wouldn't say if Kolkata didn't back him up he would win.

Absolutely true. But again we are also saying the same thing. Bengali's did the same thing what Rajasthani and Pakisthanis did. That is the format. Contestant even asked votes in their native language. There is no conflict accept why blaming Aneek only? It was same for everyone. I am happy that you supported Raja and Amanat. I had supported Mussarat and Apurva.

I do not know how much we have to stress the fact that the format was same for everyone but there can be only one winner.
