The latest is that her fellow contestants from the show have started taking digs at her. But here's the shocker! Asma says that her fellow contestants, who are ridiculing her for her parents' separation, have got instructions from the channel to do so. Asma says, "I was fed up of the way my fellow contestants were teasing me continuously. I confronted them a few days ago and they told me that the channel had instructed them to do these things." Thereafter, Asma approached the channel and discussed the issue with them. She said, "The channel told me that they hadn't given any instructions to the contestants to take digs at me. They said that they were doing it of their own accord." The channel in their promos have been airing shots of Asma being teased by her fellow contestants but when we asked the Zee TV programming head, Ajay Bhalwankar about it, he said, "There is no question of us instructing the contestants to harass Asma." Asma had earlier spoken to Mumbai Mirror about her parents' separation after her father supported her participation. Asma tells us that now she has changed her mobile number so that her estranged mother doesn't keep calling and telling her things like 'Mar jao. Tumhari kabar mein keede pare'. Unhappy about the series of events, she shares her woes, "My dad's passport has been confiscated by the cops in Oman. He can't even come to India to see the final rounds." Asma also said, "All said and done, this behaviour by the other contestants is definitely not done. I guess it is a ploy to ruin my chances in the competition. My co-contestants want me to develop stage fright and goof up. But I will not give up."

i will not give up what a statement from asma. what does she think of her self. is she asha or lata. she is the worst singer in 2009. she think she is the best singer among all other contestent. teri awaj kisi ko pasand nahi hai. our bollywood me hindi gana tuje gana hai. agar tu ye compitition jit bhi jayegi to bhi teri albym kaun sunega. sayad bhese sunenge. our bollywood me to log tuje dhaka deke nikal denge. our tere paas oman jane ke alava koi rasta hi nahi hoga

Looks like a lot of cloak and dagger stuff going on. Zee unofficially told the contestants to take pot shots at her. But officially they cannot admit it as it affects their image ( not much of image either).

well she isn't that great a singer but i love her attitude. i really hope she improves her singing as well! :D
