Here are his comments on a legend - Madam Noor Jeha (Malka-e-Taranum)

By King Anu

"who is noori? name sounds like a folk singer

name noori sounded like you know what we see in movies. a rajistani character

aay noori idhar aa"

You should apologize for insulting a legend.

jo_jo1214! I would suggest you not to waste your time on people like anu et all.It is extremely rude to talk like he did.I can only say to people like him If you haven't heard Noorjehan sing then please don't talk about music.
Just for people who showed ignorance about Madam, well you need to watch these clips to get some 'enlightenment' so you don't disrespect any icon just because you don't know about him/her.

Here Lata ji, the greatest legend alive, talks about Madam.

Golden words:The Nightingale of India Lata ji on Mallika-e-Tarannum Noor Jahan:

Sorry to get into this personal comment, but here you have said 'we Indians have a big heart etc etc' but just to bring to your notice - Noor Jehan was a singer from Pakistan (after partition) and hence it is not necessary that people will know Noor Jehan specially when her singing was in the 30's & 40's. She then moved to Pakistan to act in movies and sing songs.
She finished her career well before most of us were born. And it is okay if not everyone knows her. Even if she was a citizen of India, there was more chance of younger gen knowing her as she would have got the awards like Padma Shri or Padma vibhushan etc.

Everyone seems to be siding with their King. His highness is not surprised.

His highness's royal department of internal affairs has issued following statement.

"King Anu does not form opinion on basis of sympathy, regionalism, religion, looks, and other factors. His highness is fouces on one and one thing only and that is merit. If the show is on music then merit demands that contestant should be judged on singing alone and he or she should not be targeted because of above issue.

There is some uneasiness among jantaa that king is discriminating against certian special child and certain beti but let his highness assure you that those fears are not correct. King Anu will continue to spread his meriotus views regardless of any side issue and will call spade a spade.

On a personal level King does have understanding of special people but his highness approach is that by making them special people and giving them favors is actually discriminatory against them and it might give them a feeling of inferiority.

So say follow your king and say what you want to say."

Now feel free to have some tea and snacks.

Spokesperson,

Department of Internal Affairs
