Yes most ladies cannot stand Himeshji because of his scruffy look. Also some of his behaviour has been deplorable in the past. so such a response is expected.

But I like his singing style and feel. He has plenty of soul in his singing and this is what I like.

But as to contribution to classical singing is concerned I doubt there is much.

IF SRGMP is to purely concentrate on classical singing the viewership may drop and commercially it may not be viable.

The slide in appreciation of classical music is a great concern which ID has righfully brought up many times. But Music for Money taken over.

Himeshji mentioned that the singers need roti in their houses and this is a parrtly true too.

Have you ever imagine Gulam ali singing title song of cash. How will nusrat fateh ali khan will sound if he sings Ek hasina thi.

Belive me even these great singers are been told to sing any contemporary song they won't sound same. Does that means they are besura. Himesh sings in high pitch .He has a diffrent voice quality. He belongs to the group of singers like jagjit sing, Gulam ali, Bhupen hazarika and not like sounu nigam & shaan whose voice can suit anyone. So comparing himesh with other singer is not correct. He has given so may hits and right now lut jaaon is ruling the charts. He has knowlegde of sur and taal. His voice quality is diffrent and it sounds good.

Vijay nowadays the word "Besura" is a compliment. 😆 It means unique and different which all the MDs are looking for, in order to sing new Bollywood numbers. Atif sounds great and he is called Besura by some, perhaps it is the modern technique of singing often used in the western world but not found in the formal music world. I wondered why Yashita and Kaushik did not manage such a simple song sung by Himeshji. They went flat and dead.

There was a time when people would love to say they hate himesh and write nonsense about him but inspite of all this himesh is unstoppable . He is answering all his critics by his hardwork. Now even bollywood has changed. People are appreciating himesh work. Payarelal, Rishiji, abhishek and frhan akhtar all have appreciated himesh. Even this year ashaji appreciated himesh for his achivement. If so many people are complementing him then he has something in him. Without talent no one can survive in bollywood where, you find people of crab mentality.
