Himesh Reshammiya, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge

Rather than encourage the raw competitors with his own nasal-success story, Reshammiya loves to go on a slandering spree.

If making loud, disparaging remarks wasn't enough, he'll get into an unnecessary argument, create a scene and invariably hog all the footage.

Agreed, he is an irritating fellow. I wish Asha Bhosale had really slapped him!

I agree, he is not a good judge. He is full of himself. He tries to dominate the show. He show unnecesary emotions, tears etc. On top of that he wants Roti in contestants homes. But why single him out? there are so many who are not good judges: Anu M, Aadesh, Abhijeet, Bappi Lahiri etc etc.

I am not a Himesh fan at all, but I appreciate the way he encourage all contestant. As a judge he does not only encourage his Gharana's students but he support all Gharana's contestants.

Good point. But these are not Judges but Mentors who are supposed to compete with each other to win the title of Best Singing Team. Perhaps the article means that Himeshji is not a good Mentor. By the looks Adeshji is worse as he has only one contestant left. Best Mentor is the one who wins. This means the Mentor should be committed and dedicate his time in helping and guiding his contestants. I do not know who does this most. But I know that Himeshji was overcommitted and involved in various personal projects and was reported to come late on the sets. Hope this neglect of his Gharana singers has been put right, if not , he should get some assistants to help him.

I like Himesh for taking Pritam on..

Pritam was acting totally unprofessional and backing his Bengali Deobjit all the time whith words like " Deob is the true winner" this totally discouraged other performers, as we found out and then he went to a song and dance about his story ..utter nonsense...he wanted Doeb to have unearned rewards..he tried to become Deob surrogate parent and stob advancement of others to favor him. I wonder if he would have done this, if the contestant was nonbengali..probably not.

As Guru he paid no attention to Mitika. Mitika would have done much better if she was not in his Ghara..he is so partial.

If Himesh didn't challenge Pritam, I would have stopped watching the show.
