People sometimes have different perceptions and beliefs about things that may or may not be lucky for them. Whether or not these things really make any difference or not, who are we to judge or argue or force our opinion on someone's belief.

In sargam's case, he believed that his cap was his lucky charm. How can Adnan ask and insist that Sargam remove his cap? THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE.

Of course, I personally believe that this has not influenced his performance.

But, Adnan acted is totally inappropriate way.

Same as one of the judge telling Nitin about his short pants..What does clothes have to do with singing? Let kids wear what they feel comfortable. I am sure they dont pick their clothes. Who ever Zee has assigned for designer picks clothes for the kids. Kids just select out of what designer presents them. Atleast that is what I think.
What a shame..

He did nothing wrong, in my opinion!.
As a guru, his job is to make sure his kids are well prepared in there singing career for the upcoming future.
If Sargam keeps relying on the fact his " lucky hat" helps get him through things, like performing every week, then when he gets older he probably won't be able develop trust and belief in himself, and his OWN capabilities.
So, as a guru, Adnan sir taught his shishu that it is important to believe in himself.
He taught that the hat won't help him get through life, but his voice and talent did. I am glad this issue was covered, because the fact these kids are amongst then top 12, or what not, singers, they should learn to trust god, themselves, and what they are given!
What I DID find wrong was when Kaliash Sir asked for the hat back. That just would make him thing that its not HIS fault, but the fact he did not have his hat. That once again takes us back to square one: Not trusting the capabilities and talents who have within yourself.

I see where you're coming from. But, I can counter argue that clothes are someone's personal choice, whether its simply because what they like or even something superstitious.

Couldn't Adnan ask him or explain this to him behind the scenes during the rehearsals? What is the point of waiting and doing this at that crucial moment?

and such beliefs and superstitions exist in all cultures, countries, and ethnicities.
Adnan is only a professional mentor and its okay for him to express and share his opinion on personal things with the kids he is mentoring. But, he has no right to force it on them or make them act in a way he wants them to act.

There is a very THIN LINE between expressing and sharing your opinion and FORCING IT.

I agree with you. It was ok for Adnan to suggest that Sargam remove his cap. But to force it is crossing a line. Why try to change someone's beliefs?

Poor kid. It was just not his day today and even yesterday. Otherwise he is such a good singer.

I think Adna did right.
From this age if we start our life with this lucky charm...you will not imagine how big and in which sense the tree will grow!!!
Its not this episode he did bad, he is average since the competition has started poor Emil, 2 times got into challenge and he is out!!

Another funny thing i noticed was Kailash Lher's opinion..how can somebody says 2 different things to same point!! For Nitin he said your singing has nothing to do with cloths, so dont wear it. Another hand, he is telling Sargam that he should have wore the hat, instead of giving him false impression!!! I though Kailash kher was rude when commenting sargam, thanks Adna did not listen to him so does Javed.

I find all the judges to be great with kids, first time ever found judges who know how to talk to children in a appropriate way!

Love all the three judges - hopefully they wont disappoint us in future!

i loved sargam, even though he made lot of mistakes, sweet kid with his red cap, funny he even wore sherwani with his red cap, but adnan was not wrong. i'm glad he taught him this now, so the kid can make his voice his lucky charm and be successful in the future.

I agree Adnan should have asked the kid back stage to remove the cap and not make a scene in public. He embarassed the child and made him nervous throughout the song. It is Adnan's fault for his elimination. The truth to the matter is he shouldn't have made a public scene embarassing the poor child. Sargam was embarassed, it was shown on his face and his performance. Kailash on the other hand was very sarcastic saying he should have kept the cap. They are all crazy mad and have no class and thinking whatsoever. It should be told that they should bring back Sargam to compensate for his embarassment on TV.
