Is it that yumna and Shanmukhapriya are really as good as they are portrayed? Because to be honest Everytime we discuss this show amongst us friends I've come across this common opinion that they are not that good. They are so typecast with every song they do it's the same , no matter the original genre of the song it's always the same thing.

And why does Adnan never do duets? Agreed he has his own style but so does everyone else. He is never pushed out of his comfort zone . And he sings with jury and all like a celeb. This is all ok with me if he were not actually a contestant but a special performer like Jayas. It seems like the jury is using him to show they can do kawali too which s not done.

Treat all the contestants with same amount of love is all I'm trying to say. They are too young to be subjected to favoritism and other politics.

I personally don't like shanmukhpriya's singing much.😕

She does great yodeling but otherwise i don't find her singing that great.

Though I love yumna.She sings similar type of songs, however she has tried songs of different genre and has done great in them as well.

For example, the duet song 'jaaneman' with satyajeet on ashaji episode.

Adnan does great in his genre but he is not versatile at all.

yes judges and jury are partial towards shanmukhpriiya i also dinot like her singing

i wish jury gave her sad song or slow song then i am sure she will get less marks from jury

i like yumna she improved so much

and about Adnan i agree he is singing same type of songs only qawali

In sunday's jury challenge, Adnan sang a non-qawaali song.. Just as I wanted from the jury challenge round.. and he sang very well.. He also sang duet with Rajshree in the shaadi special but that was also qawaali.. He needs to try different genres coz he does have the potential if he tries to..

About Shanmukha, she also tried a different genre in sunday's episode and she was brilliant !! But but.. I agree that she is not that great a singer.. I find her to be extremely overrated !! Her voice when she normally sings sounds like she needs to do more riyaz in order to add more depth to it !! At times when she hits the higher notes, it is screeching to the ears than soothing!!

Yumna is atleast a little more versatile than the above two.. Her duet with Satyajit which was not a peppy number was amazing!! They even got 100 marks for that.. And in the 90s special, the Muqabla song, she showed lot more variations than SMP !!

But you are not the only one.. I saw so many comments on facebook and tweets that especially Yumna and SMP have been singing the same type of songs which is unfair to others..

@bold - My question is that is it bcos of this partiality that she again got to sit on the flying sofa this week? I mean she sits there all the time!! But I felt that Rajshree deserved more as it was her first chartbuster !!

And if SMP performs again next week despite being safe, then we would be sure that it is partiality!! Because once she had still performed even though she was safe.. But this week the kids who were safe did not perform 🤔.

Can I just say that I completely agree? Shanmukhapriya is completely overrated and the favouritism by the judges and jury towards her is absolutely ridiculous. It's completely unfair towards the deserving contestants such as Sonakshi, Rajashree and Satyajeet and sometimes I feel like the jury gives 10 points to Shanmukhapriya without even having heard her sing two lines. It's deplorable!

She is good at yodelling but that is all. I don't think she has shown any improvement or versatility at all. I hope this favouritism changes once the audience are allowed to vote.

Yumna on the other hand is not that bad. She is quite a good and mature singer and I am glad she has improved. She sings quite well and deserves the praise that she gets.

No comment on Adnan. Honestly, it does not even feel like he is part of the show as a contestant, and frankly, I've barely noticed him, so I cannot say anything.

If you noticed last week Javed told Shanmukha not to sing in her original voice because she was not good at all.. This clearly showed the partiality!! And now she will go back to her zone and the same thing of chartbuster continues.. I don't have a problem with her genre of singing but her singing in itself.. She sounds flat when she tries to actually sing out of the rock genre.. Everyone else is so much deserving than her at this point of the competition and I hope the audience votes wisely!!

What can I say, I think even judges want the kids to sing in their comfort zone. Last week Javed told SMP and I remember when Satyajit sang Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna, Himesh said that a singer must know what is good for his voice and sing accordingly.

A lot of the other kids have shown that not only are they capable of singing in their comfort zone, but also out of it, in a spectacular 'chartbuster' way. Which is more commendable?

@bold - All I can say is that the favoritism was clearly visible during the eliminations today!! What concerns me more is that someone more deserving may leave due to this!!
